There was no Bar maps issued for 2010 so going by the map from 2009 it may have been the Tolpuddle which is in the area of Lower Mead.

There is a scenario that may explain the situation.

Bars may switch lager if there is a shortage { which is caused by the fact that we cant move large amounts of stock about when its busy } although they should change the boards to reflect the change.

So are you saying you tried to buy Tuborg and you think you  ended up with Carlsberg ?

it said on a sign, possibly a blackboard, that it was 3.8%.

cant remember for sure that it was that bar, but that is the bar i was in most often.

As I did point out I was writing about Draught lager not any cans or bottles as this does vary depending how its packaged  and the information only relates to WBC Bars which tend to be the large ones.

So which bar were you at and its location ?

Image below is from Hop Farm but its the same price list with a  few minor variations but you can clearly see the ABV.

-----------

Most of the bars will stock some real ale but at some location it can quickly run out { its down to allowing enough settling time if its not a bright ale }

sorry the image was larger than I was expecting

Was that picture taken last year? I'm sure Carlsberg was more than £3.50..

As I did mention in my post ' Image below is from Hop Farm but its the same price list with a few minor variations but you can clearly see the ABV. ' and in a previous post I explained why { 05:42 AM Saturday }

its not the price that is the main issue its the strength - the price may go up but the strength normally remains the same.

Have a look this year - it will be the same range { and same ABV } the only thing that will be different is the price but the same is true of my local Pub where prices are well over £ 4

Its near the High Court of Justice packed out with Barristers and Bankers although I doubt if many pay out of their own pocket so Study hard and you could end up being in their shoes some day.

Funny enough they sell Carling Black label so its not a premium lager but its at premium prices.
