Loads of  bars on site selling beer for grown ups, so why bother with the watery, fizzy lager-of-choice any year ??

If you find  real-ale too heavy, try one of the paler "golden" brews, or the cider (bus, barrel of even brothers) ....loads of choice, give ayour taste buds a treat...

Going for carlsberg/tuborg/bud is, imo, like walking past a decent chippy to go into McDonalds....

Yeah I'm not into the real ale I'm afraid. Unless there's somewhere selling some non-guinness type stout??

Although Stout on a hot day at a festival can lead to some unpleasant re-percussions later in the evening. And I do have to share a tent with my missus.

I'll keep an eye out for some bars selling some of those golden brews.

Last year I had decent pints of ale, guinness and cider but didn't find any good lager. When the weather was that hot I was craving a nice cold lager but turborg is crap

Both Tuborg & Carlsberg are piss. A decent cold pint of lager would be lovely during the festival

The bar next to the acoustic tent and that weird playstation lounge place both did san miguel last year. Not the best lager in the world but suitably cold and fizzy and definitely step up from pooborg...

Carlsberg Export was around in years gone by but was nowhere to be seen in the last two festivals. The lack of a decent lager in the past two hot festivals has been a real pain in the arse and caused me to drink a lot more brothers  :)

I'm an ale man but if it's hot then a nice, cold Addlestones cider is what I'm after. A few bars had it last year but they'd all run out by Saturday evening last year. I was gutted.

You mean 'Cocktails and dreams', the singstar place. My favorite place at the festival last year, and the reason for me missing many bands!!

The Mojito's were amazing, (although a little pricey at £8) and there were quite a few very very good performances on the stage.

when a long cold drink is what's required, Tuborg seems ok to me..

You must have a palate like a camels arse then Tone. Too many bottles of Rolling Rock on tour. Code of the road man!

if served cold and properly there are many worse beers that could end up at a festival....stella, carling, kronenbourg, fosters and 100s of others. They do lovely Tuborgs at Roskilde Festival but don't know if the version they dish up in the UK is brewed in Denmark or under licence here (which usually means a straight route to ruining an otherwise perfectly good lager).
