I'd either not go to the wedding or go and come back. I certainly wouldn't miss the whole weekend.

Hang on what day is she actually getting married on? Why does she expect you to be there for two days?
Tell her you will go tot he actual wedding but not the day after lunch thing, i think that is a fair compromise, you could go to the actual wedding, make yourself seen to be there, then sneak off as early as you can from the evening do, the bride won't notice as she will have a million different things to do and people to talk to.
