BEYONCE!!!

Speechless!!

Look forward to Rihanna and JLS for 2013

Beyonce is NOT my cup of tea but if you think that the Pyramid is going to be anything other than rammed when she's on then I think you're mistaken.

Last I knew, she peddles a form of contemporary music and so therefore she fits in the line up of a festival of contemporary performing arts.

Embrace the diversity... it's what makes Glasto so nice in my opinion :)

Throwing groundless accusations of racism around is idiotic at best and evil at worst because mud sticks. It also undermines efforts to combat serious racial prejudice.

The first post may have been idiotic but the accusation of racism was shameful.

I agree.

Oh! not ageism please, I would say pot, kettle etc. but I wouldn't want to be accused of racism  ;)

In the words of Voltaire "  I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Pedant alert - that wasn't Voltaire  B)

Yeh fair play, I guess you may well be right.

Though his deranged reply mentioning Iran and North Korea didnt do him any favours!!

I'd say they'd be the last places to go if you didn't like someone's opinion

ACTUALLY...

I think you will find that this year Bez and a handful of other DJs in the Shangri La area will be closing the festival...at 6am on Monday morning!!!

Whether the 6am is totally correct waits to be seen but I certainly heard the man himself say at the tent closed at 4.30am last year that they were going to try and get a a 6am licence for this year.

Headline acts CLOSING the festival? Pff...there is still another 7+ hours of party time left. If you choose to go to bed straight after Beyonce does her thing then so be it...the rest of us will still be raving away seeking out beats until the sun is well and truly up the next day.  B)

To be honest your lack of correct punctuation has offended me far more than your outrageous racism and barely concealed homophobia.

Well at least you hate black men as well as black women.

A horrid racist you may be, but at least you aren't sexist, right?

I suppose you are now going to claim you just happened to pick all black artists to mock by coincidence?

Get out of here, we dont like racists on this forum.

I am aware of this fact but was being patronising towards the efestival fellowship, as Voltaire is standardly credited with this Maxim. I, therefore, can only conclude I am guilty of an ism and will take full measures to castigate myself for such misdoings  B)

Stupidism, your patronising assumption that the efestivals community was not of a sufficient academic standard to want to distinguish between Voltaire and his followers makes you guilty of the highest form of hypocrisy.

Russy, a stake!

Burn her.

Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Rock Acts To Please Haters of Any Music That Isn't Rotated On Kerrang Or Dad Rock Radio Stations.

Has a kind of ring to it, doesn't it! Wait... unless I'm mistaken but isn't the Glastonbury festival about diversity? Like having pop acts headline, dance acts, rock acts and even legendary acts like Stevie Wonder? Hmm maybe thats just me being stupid. I guess the 100,000 people who will probably go and see Beyonce (like they did Jay-Z) dont really count.
