...This is such a weak argument its unbelievable, ofc theres crap people who write there own songs just as theres stunning singers who perform other peoples constantly but I prefer it in a more obious sort of way that they are singing someone else's songs. Beyonce to me is just like a factory product really and no matter how many times people shout shes not much better than Britney Spears or Girls Aloud and loads of people on here slate V for making those bookings (even some who seem are defending Beyonce religiously)

If you think she's shite, fair enough, stand by it man  :)

I'm ambivalent about it (though I think she's far auperior to Girls Aloud or Britney) I just get bored of people prescribing who they think worthy or not worthy based on playing guitars, or being pre-packaged, or not writing their own songs, or whatever. It's like needing another justification for your own opinions.

Dunno about you, but that's been true for me as long as I've been going to Glastonbury. Probably only 2 or 3 acts in the world who could headline the Pyramid and that I'd like to see. What Pyramid headliners have I ever seen? Springsteen cos my mate nagged me. They genuinely don't hold any interest for me. Just the way it is.

I've just checked, thanks to wikipedia, and of the 8 Glastonburys I've been to, I've watched 2 pyramid headliners. Moby in 03, and The Killers in 07. I may have seen Primal Scream in 98, but can't really remember.

Yeah, that is what I was trying to say a few posts back really...  There was a massive w*nker who used to post on these boards about five years ago who mistakenly thought that if he liked a band it was 'genuine music' (an actual term he used which made me vomit onto my computer monitor) and if he didn't it was 'rubbish', 'fake', 'contrived toss', and, worst of all 'pop' (oh no!)

I know you weren't doing that LondonTom, but it's a slippery slope and I implore you not to go down that path, or I will have to spank you.

Well at least you hate black men as well as black women.

A horrid racist you may be, but at least you aren't sexist, right?

I suppose you are now going to claim you just happened to pick all black artists to mock by coincidence?

Get out of here, we dont like racists on this forum.

Your rediculous. His comment was about as racist as a zebra crossing.

I happen to know several zebra crossings who are fully paid up members of the national front. You should hear the stuff they come out with about lollipop ladies.

And if you rearrange the stripes on a zebra crossing, you know what you get?

A swastika.
