After seeing there triumph at the Brits,it got me thinking, after them nailing the John Peel last year what are the chances of them playing and where would they play? Early slot on the Pyramid or headlining JP? Personally i dont care where they play as long as they play!

they were excellent last year and got a great reaction for the massive JP crowd.Im sure when the stage bookings were made the JP was the right stage for them, however the quick rise in popularity gained them one of the biggest crowds ive seen at the tent, the other stage would probably have suited them better crowd wise.
Be good to see them again this year if they do play

John peel was packed for them last year! What an atmosphere the gig was however they would have been better placed on the other stage! I think high up other or middle pyramid!

This probably does not even need discussing IF they will play, just when and what day and which stage. The audience is going to be immense and will be one of the BBC tv highlights of an enormous crowd in the open air all jigging away very happily. On my to do and see list.

3rd/4th other stage maybe?

the coverage they got last year was pretty good, bbc interactive had most of the set, i was gutted that they couldnt include little lion man because of the swearing as it by miles got the best reaction of the set and it would be great to see a reminder of it.
could imagine them being 3rd top pyramid

Yeah I've got a feeling they'll be placed very high on the Pyramid, I couldn't get near the Peel Rent last year

When I first heard their stuff I just couldn't get into it.
But OMG have they grown on me
I'm sure they will get a good spot and will be superb.
One band I am aiming to be watching at Worthy Farm in June

3rd on Other I think. The same slot the similar in popularity Florence had last year?

These guys are so shit. OOOOOHHHHH! A British band playing "Americana"??!!?! Wow! How...rad. Did they just say "f**ked"???
Brilliant. Crap musicians able to hold a three part harmony with arse lyrics and all the songs sound the same. But they play a banjo! AMAZING. Listen to a band like the Felice Brothers to see how it should be done.
It's a sad state of affairs that a) the JP was rammed last year (I got dragged there and even wish I'd seen Dizzee instead) and
that the list of British albums up for the Brit (which we all know is bullshit) awards is so poor.

I'm all for Mumford, seing them again next week at Dingwalls but I'm really not sure they should be doing another round of festivals without a new album.

This on the Coldplay night i reckon. Massively over-rated in my opinion. I don't get how so many people like them when Mumford himself is the most conceited and try hard folkie (that moustache!!) there is. His voice grates me and if I hear that Lion Man song again I won't be responsible for my actions!

My bet is on 2nd top other stage or 3rd/4th top Pyramid. They are pretty massive these days.

surely they arent going to be touring that one album again are they?
It's "folk music" for the xfactor generation.
Public schoolboys dressed in fancy dress playing overproduced, lyrically childish, formulaic, dull shite.
Mumford, take your sons and f**k off. Fatty

admittedly they could do with another album release before being considered one of the top 2/3 spots on the pyramid or other stage. Their popularity grows all the time but it wont be long before people want new stuff or tire of them.

I said exactly the same thing about needing another album before they tour, but apparently they're pretty much nailed on for V and playing Hyde park below Arcade Fire so maybe they are just planning on flogging this one to death. ( Which cant be that far off now! )
I can't blame them doing it though. I don't think a second album will go anywhere near as far as this one did. This one was something different ( to the masses anyway ) and think people liked the idea of it. A second one, will probably be more of the same. Maybe a single or two will go somewhere, but no where near what this one did
Must admit, I like the album, couldn't get into the tent last year to watch so ended up by the doors doing my best. Turned out I was standing next to Jo Whiley, which was a shock. I hope they do play somewhere, would quite like to watch them in the Park for some reason as the surprise band thing.
