I was wondering who people thought might play the legends slot? We already know Jimmy Cliff has said he's going to play the Friday and people are talking about ABBA, but are they any other acts that might be playing?
Now that the Stones look like they're not headlining and Ronnie Wood said he wanted to play a festival (possibly hinting at Glastonbury) I thinking the re-formed Faces might be playing? On Ian McLagan's website http://www.ianmclagan.com/gigs.htm he says they are doing some gigs this year, and they did the Goodwood Vintage festival last year.
Not that I'm that keen on seeing Mick Hucknell, but they might be a good band on the Sunday afternoon.

I can see the logic, and it would no doubt be popular. I know what you mean about Hucknall though. Self-important tosser (for definition, see Bono).

In an ideal world it will be Dolly or Barry Manilow (both thouring the UK this year) but I fear it'll be ultimate Thatcherite band - Duran Duran. Urgh.

I'll get slated for this but as Simply Red are saying farewell, they could well go out with a band and play that slot? I'm not a massive fan, but I went to see them once as there was a spare ticket and I had nothing better to do that night, and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, the atmosphere was electric, I had hardly listened to them at the time but they played hit after hit after hit and they'd go down a storm I reckon. Who gives a f**k what Hucknall's like, he's a damn good singer at the end of the day.

...neither probably big enough for the legends slot though

...and while I'm thinking about, Stevie Nicks would be a good sub for Fleetwood Mac (for me anyway)

Although the chances are near enough zero, I'd love to see Macca or Roger Waters make an appearance, it'd be magical and set the scene for the rest of the weekend! And 2012

Deacon Blue! Wow, there's a thought. I was a huge fan back in the day. It would be good to hear them again, great live band full of energy.
