More or less made up my mind i am going to do the Tangerine Fields ready pitched camping this year, had enough of humping the camping gear for miles and long waits at the gates. Anyone had any experience on Tangerine Fields, how easy is car park access,is it fairly quiet. Before anyone says i know its off site and a walk up a steep hill to get to it,i can put up with that, at my age i don't do the noisy camping areas, and as thsi will be my lst Glastonbury i thought i would lash out on making life easier.....Don't need neg replies on the idea, just peoples experience of using Tangerine Fields. I did look into My Hab,but don't like those pod things at all.

Doesnt look very "Glastonbury" either does it?

Same for Tangerine Fields - the Geo-Domes look pretty cool though. Too far outside the festie for me though.

I looked into the Myhab boxes last year and did not fancy them at all. i am not bothered on the tent area being off site, and for three days and nights the hill won't bother me. I always used to camp at the very top of Dairy Fields and that was a fair hike back up at night, but for the last few years i have found the very long walk from car parks miles away put a real damper on things, thats the main reason i want something a little easier,a mobile home would be an ideal solution, but at at least £600 plus the ticket for three days its a non starter, same with Caravans and trailer tents as i have no storage space for either. This is to be my last Glastonbury and i just fancy making it a little easier.

Ive done it three times, the first year we we as near as you can get and the third year as far as you can get. Wouldnt do it again but not that expensive. We flew into Bristol from Dublin and rented a camper there and drove down. But a half hour walk to the Pyramid stage was too much. No atmos either in the camper field.I looked into the Myhab boxes last year and did not fancy them at all. i am not bothered on the tent area being off site, and for three days and nights the hill won't bother me. I've got no experience of the Tangerine Fields, but I wish I'd thought of the idea. It's a licence to print money.

I have looked into a camper van and there to expensive. Even to buy a cheap one is not an option as i have no parking space for anything but my car.

My first two G's were in a camper van - 99 an 00 - It was my last there
Then in 02 when I found some people were gonnna camp I hooked up with them , I feel you lose so much
in the van fields .
As Angus Young said " get in amongst it and smell the fear ! "
Big Ground is my second home !!!

I've not had much luck finding a second home at Glasto since they handed over my regular camping field to Lost Vagueness/Shangri-la.
Did a couple of years in Pennards, one in Spring Ground, one in Michael's Mead, then missed a few years.
No idea where I'll end up this year!
