I saw them do a 30min set tonight at KOKO. I was really impressed. Great set of songs already. Front man felt like he'd been doing it for a while (reminded me a bit of Brian from Gaslight).
I'd compare them to an early Kings of Leon and I'm guessing they'll release a cracking first album.
Personally I'd love to see them at Glastonbury and I'm guessing we will.

I was listening to Mona myself last night and early kings of Leon also popped into my head along with the gaslight anthem. when do they have an album out?

Dubbed the Princes of Leon funnily enough cos of their likeness and the Tenessee connection. I was at Koko too last night - definitely ones to watch!

Looks like we think alike! Not sure on the album, but judging by last night's material it won't be long...

Hope they do the rounds this year, and play loads of festivals.
Seeing them at King tuts soon, so that should be good.

Let's not go comparing them to The Gaslight Anthem but I agree they sound very good, like the first two KoL albums. Singer has a good stage presence and some great songs.

Expect them to easily fill a John Peel Tent near you in June. Album out in May. Sounded great last night.
"We're white trash from the middle of the US and it's great to be over the other side of the world playing to more white trash like you guys tonight."
Perfect.

Absolutely. We'll have to wait for the album to really tell whether they've got the grit of the first KoL albums but from what I heard on first listen live I really liked it.

Checked a fewvids of them on youtube, not bad at all, would deffo check them out if they played.
Don't get the Brian Fallon comparisions though. People on youtube are saying the same, but I don't get it!
