Franz Ferdinand headlining NME? You know they headlined Main a matter of years ago? I can't see Avril Lavigne or Lostprophets playing. Never ever would Foals or Razorlight especially play that low, and could never see Interpol playing that low or outdoors either.

A lot of these predictions look the same, and they're pretty bad. Hopefully FR can pull some surprises out of the bag over the weekend to liven things up a bit. Also if 30STM are a subbing level band then I'm a pink lollipop.

did they? but tbf they have basically dropped out completely. Avril lavigne has a new album coming out however I did mainly put her there to fill up the spaces. I would think Foals would be that low, they sub headlined the NME last year, haven't released anything new to make them any bigger this year and it seems like a fair placement. Maybe a bit of a wishful thought more for razorlight and I did just put Interpol there to fill up space.

They usually do, looking at the predictions from last year around this time, about 1/2 of the lineup is different

As you asked for opinions - Your Sunday looks ridiculous. Was also going to ask you 'who the hell is Patrick Stump?' but a quick look at wikipedia tells me that he's the Fall Out Boy singer.

yeah it was more wishful thinking if i'm going to be honest for the sunday, and yeah he's got his own solo album coming out in 2011

well last year they actually were third from top on the nme, but they still are a credible band and deserve to be slightly higher.
theyre leading the nme awards nominations with 5, including best british band, best album and best live act.

The influx of new people not understanding the etiquette of the forum. Or just not using common sense to read down the other threads.

Its starting again, between now and march there will be a load of newbies and then even more come the announcement onwards. Then we will have a lot more to discuss such as the value of bands actually playing the festival.

Whitle lies are a far bigger band than taking back sunday in the uk, no way they would take the same slot. White lies would be 1 slot higher and taking back sunday 2 or 3 slots lower. Also I dont get these predictions with florence healdining nme. I cant remember in recent years anyone headlining that tent who has sold as much a her in the couple of years preceeding.

Franz Ferdinand's stock has fallen since they headlined so NME headliner would be about right.

As for Razorlight, I thought third from the top was too high for them, again I know they headlined a few years ago, but their stock has plummeted more than Franz. Really does anyone actually care about Razorlight anymore?

I disagree their poularity has plumetted to that extent, their last album was still top5 and had a single that made top 5.  It didnt produce the hists of the previous and the next one is a bit of a make or break for them.  I still think with their back catalogue they would play 3rd.  Weezers popularity has plumetted far lower and they got that slot.
