Offspring in the Lock Up

You're sprouting more shit than when you were claiming you knew who the headliners were.

Isnt this the guy who did get the headliners?

Not really, he thinks Iron Maiden are headlining R&L this year and said Download will have Ozzy & Foo's.

Hmmm true, I guess Offspring might be a bit too big for Lock Up, but then they are no where near as what they were and are comparable to a band like Rise Against imo.

So I'm unsure.

No they're not, Offspring HEADLINED Download 2ish years ago and have mass appeal whilst they aren't as big as they use to be they are still easily bigger than Rise Against.

I'm leaving it here as you're an idiot.

They could possibly be on the bill somewhere, 1999 they subed under RHCP! Could be very a good band for leeds and could be the Metal type of band if we get Muse and Strokes!

I reckon 3rd from top or in the tent. Similar in popularity and back catalogue as Weezer who were 3rd top last year. They would fit nicely under MCR and 30 Seconds to Mars(Ithink they will sub) to strengthen that day up.

I hope if they do come over that they add some academy dates around the country, I don't think an hour will be enough for me. A band I really want to see.

I saw them at manchester academy, good and that, but you can tell every gig is the same. They come on, blast through the songs, no crowd interaction, thank you and good night.

Also whilst I like the band, they haven't been relevant in a long long time, maybe conspiracy of one at a push, which was ten years ago.

Finally jump mentioned that they headlined download, well let's put things into context. 2008 was one of the strongest lineups r/l has ever had, and they had all the big hitters download would usually target (Metallica, tenacious d, slipknot, ratm, qotsa). Download needed headliners and has spunked a great deal of money on kiss, so the offspring and lostprophets headlined, jimmy eat world played second as well!

I don't mind that as long as they put in a good live performance no crowd interaction can in some places be a good thing, possibility of fitting in more songs also. Bit like what biffy do everytime I've seen them.

I know the performance of rivers won't be emulated.

Sometimes bands ahem 30STM ahem give two much crowd interaction and go the other way and therefore spoil the gigs.

I would agree, 3rd top highest or perhaps NME headliners.
