I love all the speculation leading up to the festival,I mean what would we have to talk about during these dark months if the line up was announced last month?

I'd like to know random acts...
but i guess we already do.
Such as an opener on the Sunday for John peel and a 4th up on The park stage, but I like the excitement and the inevitable grin after the lineup is announced and you get 'glasto is shit compared to *insert festival*' comment

I'd rather know now, that way we don't have to have 1000 threads asking "Do you think this band will play?"

You know, the usual nonsense this board gets two weeks before the festival, then the same people returnafter the festival claiming it was "The best one yet!". I guess it is tradition thoughI'd rather know now, that way we don't have to have 1000 threads asking "Do you think this band will play?"

I'm easy either way, however hearing a little while before the festival would be quite good 'cause you'd get a little more time to look through the line up and listen to bands you've never listened to before etc., having the line up announced like a month before the festival kind of strips you of that benefit.

I'd quite like the one headliner to get announced either before the year's out, or within the first week of 2011.
After that they can drip feed the other two and a couple of other acts up until ticket resales, then the full blown line up in mid-April.

I'd like them to give us a taster of who's playing, just mentioning a few acts, perhaps focus on the ones who aren't otherwise touring the UK, such as some of the West Holt acts. It would be nice to know one of the headliners by January.

i quite enjoy the not knowing. i like the build up it creates.
though it is easy to say that when i know i have a ticket, know i will be going and know i will have probably the best wekend of the year regardless of who's playing.
