When I went in 2008 you werent allowed booze (i think in fact you got in with 6 cans or somethin stupid) on the CAMPSITE which was a major pain in the arse for this amazing festival. Can anyone clarify if this was the case (pardon the pun) in 2009. This might point to whether they still do this in 2011.

In 2009 you could take in alcohol for personal consumption up until the license commenced (about 6pm on the Thursday if I remember correctly).  You were then free to take this anywhere with you.  There were some guidelines on personal consumption levels that I may be able to locate somewhere...

right enough this kind of rings a bell, though i think i went on the friday so therefore was subject to trying to down 36 cans of strongbow at the gates while sticking about 12 down ma jeans/inside sleepin bag/tent haha.

also recall goin back to the entrance on the saturday morning and feasting on all the unopened cans discarded at the front gate as fast as my larynx could carry me. burp city...
