No chance of Other Stage headliner, no way at all. 3rd top or below on other, maybe. Or could headling John Peel.

I think they are big anoth to headline the other stage but if they did play, they wont.

Jackmypie, on 09 December 2010 - 07:18 PM, said:Okay but still, 3rd from top of the main stage = somewhere near the top of other stage.
Oh i agree, from what i heard, they where beyond fantastic at Reading/leeds so why not put them on headline the other stage.
If Franz Ferdinand or Bloc Party can do it......any band can

Would be utterly incredible. Love the band, proper summer music. Proper festival act, really brilliant live act. Just great. Would be wonderful on the Pyramid mid way up somewhere.

Would be incredible if they brought the memories tour to Glastonbury. But it's highly unlikely since they apparently won't come to Europe as they lose money
But in an ideal world they would headline the park stage on Friday AND Saturday. Friday playing the blue album and Saturday playing Pinkerton.
Someone tell Emily to get this booked

I forgot to mention that I'd love it if they played. I just can't see them higher than 3rd other or afternoon pyramid.

JP or Park Headline slot would suit them IMO.

They put on one of the best festival performances I've ever seen at Leeds last year, they were really entertaining and sounded fantastic. It would be great for Glastonbury to have such a great live band play the festival.

Just thought to myself I don't know of of their songs or anything, as had read something comparing them to Pixies etc as cultish band.
Then also thought I only know one of their songs, but maybe I'm confusing them so best check.
Yup, Teenage Dirtbag is by Wheatus not Weezer
Edit- Appears I'm not the only one, just looked back at the Weezer Teenage Dirtbag seatch tab I'd done and there was this article.
Quote
The US indie kids said people repeatedly mistook the WHEATUS song as theirs, so now they've claimed it.
After belting the Loser soundtrack song out at Reading and Leeds, frontman RIVERS CUOMO said: "People have always asked us about our song Teenage Dirtbag.
"Sometimes I don't have the heart to embarrass and tell them it's not our song.
"So we just started playing it - and now it is our song."

I definitely think they'd be worthy Other Stage headliners. They were MASSIVE in the mid nineties and have retained a huge and loyal following.
