I'll admit to being a Kasabian fan (dont shoot me lol) but I don't feel the need to attack someone that looks at me wrong, though like others I've seen it, more so at murrayfield than T etc. TBH I reckon if T hadn't booked them many times I reckon they would have played Rockness already at some point. They do have a electronic side to them which could translate well imo, their next next album could be full of the stuff for anyones guess. I wouldn't worry to much about their booking, as mentioned things still turned out ok when they were booked for Connect. Think that's enough positivity for one post lol

I dont understand how kasabian fans are all getting all this negativity, if you ask me last year at T in the park, all the arseholes i met were Biffy fans, and the year they were at rockness..... lets just say dont get me started!
I think Kasabian are a good signing for Rockness, its just a shame that they had been at T last year, thats the only bad point i can see.
To be fair every act at every festival is going to have some aresehole fans there, infact very festival is going to have some people that will ruin it for some others!
Well done rockness for getting two of my fav acts, and im still hoping Santa can bring me Daft Punk..... Please(i have been a good girl)

couldnt agree more with this, every festival has "those people" but you just get on with it and enjoy yourself, its unavoidable so you shouldnt let it ruin the festival for you!

But so far Rockness has had a small amount of dickheads, although IMO there were more last year. Yes every festival will get dickheads but the last thing Rockness needs is more of them which sadly I predict for this year.
As for saying just get on with it, yeah brilliant. You try getting on with it while people are chucking full cans of cider at you or cups of piss like they were this year.

i'm doing my bit to counteract this by staying away this year. you're welcome!

I like Kasabian so very happy with this announcement, but Rockness will always have a very good alternative to them.

But it's definately not always just about the music, certainly not these days. That's why festivals (or some anyway) try and be a bit different and put on other things for people to do away from the acts.
It's a competitive business, plenty festivals fail (ie Connect, Indian Summer etc) and if they don't book big name acts, it can prove costly for ticket sales and ultimately their business.
AEG are a huge corporate company, they are in it to make money. Jim and his team need to balance the books by keeping the festival popular and making money.
If this means they book acts like Kasabian then that's the way it needs to be. Plenty other similar size festivals would be envious of the line up Rockness seems to pull together and although I am critical of some of the acts, I will reserve judgement till the whole line up is out.
That kinda turned into a little off-topic rant but hey-ho.. am bored

Kasabian have got some decent tunes though, and with a festival the size of Rockness, it should be a pretty bouncing friday night.
And, if its not your cup of tea, you can always go watch someone else!!
Still though, chems will be beeeeeassssting!
Another announcement tomorrow

Exactly. RockNess will have an alternative, and thats the main thing to take from this if you are not a Kasabian fan.

I said about these "COOL" kids as i feel they are the ones that bring more negativity to a festival than the said Kasabian fans, coz were daft little lassies go, the daft laddies follow.....Basically
I was off topic also but was in an extreamly crabbit mood yesterday and head was all over the place
