As much as this is a good deal for return travel (£10) last years experience with this means I will not be repeating it. Bus on the way up broke (the horn) before we'd left Edinburgh. The final journey time incuding getting the repair was about 7 hours leaving at 10 in the morning, got there at almost 5 when most of my friends had been there since 12. The way back wasn't much better, took a 45 minute rest stop in Perth.
ALSO, i wasn't the only one to experience a bus break down, another one going from Edinburgh broke down about 10 miles from Inverness, I'm not which bus company was runnning it, but the service was appalling.

Busses are like taht though - My bus up last year we were a mile away from RockNess and the bus turned round cus they had forgotten to pick up people in Elgin.

Yeah we were on that bus, was very annoying considering we were so close. Had to wait on another bus on its way back from dropping people off at Rockness to come and pick us all up.
Going with the student bus again though, hope there is an earlier bus this year.
