On my wish list of artists and bands I never got to see, Elvis Costello is right up there.

I thought there might be a chance of him doing Glasto sometime, but I have just read on Wikipedia (so it must be right!) that he played Glasto in 2005 and it was so awful he vowed never to play England again!!

Were any of you there?

Was it THAT bad?

Shall I consign him to the 'Artists I Will Never See' list with all the dead people?

Well I was there and I don't know why he was so down on it, maybe he expected to get a bigger crowd or a more enthusiastic reception but I really enjoyed it, it may not have been a classic performance but it was no disaster either.

Well I've always loved his music- certainly the classic phase, so I was well up for seeing him... maybe I didn't get close enough cause I know that makes a lot of difference, but it came across as extremely dull and lifeless. Tepid at best. So after being all keen to see him I ended up wandering off.

He was great at Cornbury a few years back - it would be good to see him again.

I enjoyed the show. Loved his version of Alison/Suspicious Minds.

The weather that day was horrific. No wonder the atmos was a bit off.

I was there, was ok. Couple of good tunes but a lot of MOR stuff. He didn’t really seem up for it.
