So I'm taking my new girlfriend to glastonbury next year. It will be her first time, my sixth.

I think she is still wondering why I go on about it all the time, and she won't quite get it until the Monday morning after Glastonbury 2011 is over.

Anyway, its her birthday this weekend and I want to get her something Glasto related or something she can use at Glastonbury. All ideas welcome. Over to you.

Couldn't agree more!
Since I purchased this (for around £4) I haven't stopped watching in in those 'I wish it was June' moments!!

If you have the newspapers from any of the years, let her take a look at those also - can make for a good read!
Failing that - get her into the good times of tent 'porn'

I've got it already and made her watch it.

Just seen someone post Brothers 7% for a quid online at Sainsburys, so just ordered 20 bottles to be delivered about the time she'll be opening her other presents from me on Friday.

Still, need more ideas :)

Hunter Wellies - Best to buy locally as sizes are strange.
Shepee - http://www.amazon.co...90032105&sr=8-1
Glastonbury - An Oral History Of Music, Mud and Magic http://www.amazon.co...90032011&sr=1-1
A 'hamper' with suncream, wet wipes, lip salve, dry shampoo (Batiste is best) anti bac hand cleanser, camping mirror, flannel, camping bowl to wash in, solar shower.
Hope this gives you some ideas! :)

An industrial size pack of wet wipes, a portaloo and a tiny tent to put it in. Depends on what her biggest fear/worry about the place is, but for many people it seems to be 'the facilities'.

The dvd. But don't just sit and watch it with her, blather all the way through the first showing pointing out every experience you have had in every place featured in the film, hype up the excitement tenfold and once all the stories and love of the festival have been described by you, she will be well on her to understanding just how special a place it is.

We inflicted this experience onto our German travel companions whilst in Oz and they were hooked just from one showing. They were also very cool Germans :D

Was going to suggest the Glasto Scrapbook, but sadly all gone now, although I'll also second the eFests Calendar ... as a totally independent, unbiased and without vested interest recommendation :P  You'll probably end up with a good old slap and almost certainly a reduction if not a complete cessation in the 'snuggling' department if that's all you procure for said GF's birthday mind you even if it's not just a calendar but a super-dupa shiny new limited edition eFests calendar

The Glasto DVD, several gorgeous green bottles of a certain pear-based beverage and a very large bag of munchies various sounds like a plan to me but perhaps that's more of a present for YOU than her so maybe a poncho and wellies double header could be the solution for the main pressie  Posted Image defo something that she will be able to use at Glasto next year   :o
