ok so we are aout to buy a caravanet. its not a caravan as its not towed so in terms of tickets for glasto, would i get away with a campervan ticket? do they clas caravans as having to be towed???

i would love to have a shower......but im taking my daughter for her first glasto. part of me thinks "she needs the whole experience" but another part is saying "it will be enough for her in the day seeing everything without camping too" BUT "will it be the same?"

lol HELP

Campervan and caravan tickets are the same thing. You don't need a specific one for your vehicle.

Having camped andp campervaned i can assure you there is very little difference

i think so, what it lacks in atmosphere, i think, balances out with the extra space and comforts it affords, esp with kids.

Having done the past few years in a camper, it would take a lot of persuasion to get me back into a tent.
As to your daughter, it completely depends on age, I would only think about tenting it if she was between about 14 and 20. Younger and it will just be extra hassle, older and she will be able to clearly see the benefits of caravanette type things.
Of course, between 14 and 20 you've also got the whole hormonal issue to contend with. Chances are that whatever you do will be wrong so pick the option you personally would prefer!  :)

For years we had big tents (four triple bedrooms and a central dome 8ft 6in high).  Last year we invested in a trailer tent and had our first time in Campervan East.  It was superb.  Lots of space to sit and chill (it really did stay cool in the blistering heat).  This year we will be taking the TT and also hiring a motohome, which will give us shower and toilet facilities as well.
The atmosphere was a bit different but as there's a good sized gang of us anyway we still had a good social side to Glasto.
The great thing was driving everything to the spot where you camped.  No lugging loads of gear from the car park.  And given that you'll save £20 by not having to buy a car park ticket the CV field tickets are reasonable value.
I wouldn't consider going back to a tent now.
