Looking at the dates regarding payment of the rest of the ticket balance it says that we have a window between the 1st and 7th of April to pay? Surely if we had the funds we could pay online before that? Is this the case or not? It seems as though they are pointing specifically at that window. This was not the case last year, i paid around December time last year with no problem. Does anyone have a clearer idea on this. Maybe me but it's confused me a tad.

Nope you can only pay between those dates for UK ticket holders

Not at all, last year it had to be paid in full by 28th February, but you could do this anytime after the ticket sale in October.

This year there is the 1 week window to pay balances.

I never knew this, don't remember it at all, because I remember trying to do it and not being able to. How did you do it?

Why have they decided to do this? Just a one week window? It seems crazy to me, ok to give people longer to pay but if you have the funds before then surely it should be your choice if you want to pay before that date. Maybe Neil could shed some light on why.

The only reason I've heard is that it's possibly for tax reasons, since 1st April is the beginning of the next fiscal year.  Easier for the festival to sort out it's paperwork if everyone pays in the same tax year, with the added convenience of it being the same tax year as the actual festival.  Not sure how true that is, but it makes sense.

Went to the Seetickets Glasto page and clicked on pay balance

Anyone know the answer to this one?

I booked 6 deposits on my card and got the money back from friends for their deposits. But I only have one booking reference number. Anyone have any idea if and how my friends can pay the balances themselves come payment time? Will my reference number and their registration numbers be linked together so that they can pay it themselves. Can't seem to find info on this anywhere.

Nawwh its linked to your reg number , at least it was last year So you can pay em together to spread postage or split them up

Yup when you pay the balance, you enter the registration number and postcode.. not the booking reference number

Rember tho , someone posted that if you settle them all in one go you only pay one lot of postage and
processing fee , and they will come in one job lot so to speak , pay individually and you would have 6
p & P fees to pay !

It's probably so it's in the same VAT Quarter as the festival.

Thanks for the replies guys.

We are all spread out around the country and arriving at different times  so we will have to stomach the P&P fees. I would like to think that (after courier costs etc) that a little extra money still goes to GFL though, so I don't mind.

I would assume that any extra on postage charges will go to Seetickets, which is not so bad really as they're a well respected and liked website on this forum.

Well they are for the 48 weeks of the year that don't involve dispatching Glastonbury tickets

Personally I am hoping that lots of people forget to pay up so us people without tickets have a chance at them in the resale.  If you're not organised enough to pay at the right time, you can't be too bothered about going ;-)

There are thousands of people out there who would love to have the 'problem' of when they get to pay for their tickets.
