and would you personally watch take that if they played?

I couldn't care less. If they play they'll get a huge crowd, and would get a lot of publicity for the festival. Plus there are masses of bands playing at the same time, plus loads of extra entertainment if i don't like them.
That said, i don't think they'll play

I'd actually be disgusted if they played. I think that say's it all as to whether I watched or not.
And yes, that said I don't think they'll play either

Went for yes. People want to see them, there are worse bands and there's plenty of room for everyone, so why not?
Not in the top 3 of the Pyramid or top 2 other though please, those places are limited and I'd prefer someone I like more.

I think we need a don't care option, if they play fair enough I will simply be somewhere else it sure as hell will not spoil my festival. To be honest I feel sorry for people who get themselves so worked up about someone who they don't like playing.

There are loads of bands every year that play that I don't like. I don't get worked up about them but Take that would be wrong for many reasons.

I would say yes. they would be incredibly popular and no doubt put on a decent show. Only if they're second top though.

They're brilliant. Out of all these bands what have reformed in the past few years, how many of them have not only improved massively but also managed to become easily the biggest band in the country? Just one.

List them without coming across as an arrogant/misinformed music snob and I'll buy you a beer.

Glasto is all about being different. Take that may not be a festival band but they are a perfect different band for glasto. I would not pay to see one of there gigs but I would watch them at glasto.

True I suppose, wouldn't pay £100 to watch U2, but I'd watch them at a festival.

I voted yes - I wouldn't necessarily go to see hem but I don't see any reason why they shouldn't play.

I'd be happy to see them, it seems like they put on a good show. People will always get their backs up when it comes to boy bands, but I think with the reforming and growing up they're as respectable a band as any, and are certainly willing to admit to the mistakes of the past. To be honest, if they were to play I'd rather them have the top slot. They have a hell of a lot of stage props for their show, so anything less than top wouldn't quite so spectacular.
Well, there goes my street cred...

Not for me as I'm already going to see them with the girls a week later... not a fan, but they're not all bad, and I have an open enough mind to enjoy all kinds of music/performances etc
Weekend after Glasto, is a girls weekend seeing Take That and Pulp, few of my girlfriends would go to a festival, but happily go to concerts so it's all about being flexible
Getting back to the original question - I would rather see less 'mainstream/popular' bands at Glastonbury

Neil has already said they definately havn't been booked, so why are people still talking about it?
Even if they have been booked, I would be elsewhere. Not really that bothered about them playing though.

1) it's a lazy booking - they've played shed loads of massive shows in this country over the last couple of years - anyone that wanted to see them has had every chance to do so.
2) they would probably headline - taking away a potential spot from someone I would really like to see.
3) glastonbury has been the most innovative of the major festivals in terms of headline bookings. When I think of innovative bands, I don't think of take that.
4) novelty acts have their place, and like rolf it's at lunchtime, Not Saturday night pyramid headliner.
I might do myself out of a pint on this one...
5) music snobbery maybe, I don't care, they are musically terrible. They are one of the most sacharine, bland, banal, soulless, corporate bands around. Yes, worse than James blunt. Music for people that don't like music, for people to put in their trolley at Tesco. To think there was uproar when the smiths played in '84...
complete snobbery maybe, to me they're totally wrong for glastonbury as a headline act. Most people's impression's of the festival are the main stage headliners, not the people that go I know, but the public in general. They would give the wrong impression of glastonbury in my opinion. I hope they never play, and would happily contribute some money for them not to.
Hmmm, we'll call that half a pint then?

I've voted no and I've based it on the fact that they are shit and they would take up space of someone good. plus they wouldn't come cheap and would be chipping into the budget bigtime.
