No he's definitely not a prince. It's just a name apparently. I've heard he's got a purple one though!

No.
I probably wouldn't watch him anyway, but he has never seemed a festival kind of act. He seems to work OK within his princely bubble but am not sure if he could win over an apathetic crowd.

I saw him on his O2 residency and thought his performance was a bit stale and flat. Occasional highlights, but didn't walk away thinking I couldn't wait to see him again (more of a "been there, done that" feeling tbh). I think part of it was down to the shows being a residency though, the whole thing felt like a conveyor belt of ticket buyers so Prince could make his money. Lost a lot of that one night only energy that a tour has.
If he was at glastonbury I'd look at the other stages. I'd maybe give him another chance if there were no other headliners who caught my eye though.

Hellooo people...
plenty of threads in the vicinity moaning about this! Gaaah! See The Sun thread if you have to throw your halfpence worth into the throng. They've been kicking about all day and for the past few weeks since T Day. No need to start another one just because you personally aren't 'feeling it'. Thousands upon thousands of people on the night he could be headlining will be. His appearance would be pleasing a lot of people and he isn't even confirmed yet. It would be a big event if he does get the gig. The audience might not all be Prince fans but there's likely to be a Feck load of people seeing him for the first time (and will have waited forever for that chance).
REALLY sorry for the rant but yawn yawn bloody yawn.137,500 people in attendance, Eavis doesn't expect everyone to like the headliners. You bought tickets knowing you didn't know the headliners. Be bloody thankful you are going regardless!

As far as classic headliners, his Coachella set blew away Stevie, Bruce, and even Neil Young's Glasto sets. Just sayin'

At least Steve and Bruce were all rubbish and boring though and lead to no entertainment.*
*Neil's opinion not mine
, not sure where he fell on Neil Young.
