Any chance Mr Eavis would divulge some headliner information to cheer our day up.

Great idea. That would brighten up an otherwise crappy day.  :)

Well said, hopefully they'll have some cashflow worries and want to sell a few thousand extra tickets to get a few reddies coming in.

Watching it on bbc now, and I just want to punch Clegg in his face! Hate him almost as much as I hate Thatcher, at least she had her beliefs and stood by them! Talk about a sell out

I see what you mean, but us losing out a bit to help those MUCH worse off I'm ok with. Im more annoyed with the extent and speed of the cuts. Tbf we all knew what to expect when them lot got in, they never lied about cuts, but I will NEVER take what the Lib Dems take seriously again. At least Iget to say 'I voted Labour :P '

They spent it on pointless wars that served neither the UK national interest nor the interest(s) of the people they went to war against.

Wow, Labour created a liquidity shortfall in the United States banking system, and co-ordinated America's sub-prime mortgage crisis, a freeze in credit markets globally, and orchestrated the collapse of Lehman Bros and AIG. There's a movie deal there surely. How on earth did they do it?

Well said!

So few people understand this - they believe Daily Mail headlines instead!

No of course not, and yes my comment above was deliberately flippant, as I suspect is yours.  But we certainly had conditions which were conducive to bad practice in the banking sector brought in by our former leaders, hindsight being wonderful here obviously.

And those overseas war thingies aren't cheap either.

I certainly don't need any newspaper to form my opinions for me, as suggested above.

It would appear forecasters are warning of another global trade collapse through 'Currency Wars'

http://www.monstersa...ars-drafts-show

Quote

'There remain a number of risks that require sustained attention at the global level, including sovereign debt sustainability, incomplete financial repair, high unemployment, the volatility of global commodity prices, and re-emerging global macroeconomic imbalances,' the draft EU summit statement reads.

    +1

I blame Labour for adopting Thatcher's economic policy when they took power. If anyone honestly thinks the torries would have done any different over the last 13 years then they are very much mistaken

I think the most inappropriate thing that was done by Cameron and Clegg all afternoon, was pat Osbourne on the back when he finished his statement

Actually Neil suggested 500,000 out of work by next June. The cuts are over the next 4-5 years not all at once

you seem to have overlooked the spending cuts already announced under Labour with redundancies set to happen this Xmas.
