Then they should be shot.

Any firkin paper will do...what is the 'correct' paper to read? Cos its all the same news at the end of the day just reported differently.

Hmm, now would be a good time to buy shares in portaloos...
top idea that!

We could think about an insurance job on the portaloos to and sell them off to the Eavi :P

To be fair, I was just shocked at the list of papers you gave.

Try reading The Grauniad instead.

Avoid hate-filled rags such as the Daily Mail and anything published by Rupert Murdoch (The S*n, The Times etc.)

Hey if that movie starring John Cusack has anything to go by the worlds gonna end in 2012..... That would make 2011 the last Glasto ever, The lineup better be good in that case !!!!!

Its one of things I'm proud of, the fact that it was me, Yes ME, who asked Michael this question at the 09 Q&A session :) Since then the stories been in everything :P I remember him saying he has a holiday booked, taking a campervan across the isles :)

Dunno if it was you Alcatraz but all this stuff bout cancellation is so old. I remember it being reported sometime in 2009 after the festival that one of the main reasons for a fallow year to be in 2012 would be lack of volunteers as so many would be needed for the Olympics-ive no doubt loos and police were also mentioned, but as has been mentioned elsewhere, I cant believe DJ's and music press are repeating like its new!!

I remember being the first to mention this on here as it was one of the very few threads I have started - in fact I think it was my first. It was in Jan 09 and the thread is here:

http://www.efestival...1

Efests added the following news item later the same day:

http://www.efestival...9/090122a.shtml

So in fact the first newspaper to break this story was the Bristol Evening Post!!

i saw ME in early september, after the pilton party, where he reiterated his original statement i.e. he didn't say 'we're cancelling it in 2012.' he did, however, say 'i don't know how long we can go on for'.

'I don't know how long we can go on for'???????? WHAT?????? Is ME saying the festival has a shelf life? That sounds like he's saying the festival is nearing its end. I know all things must come to an end but where glastonbury's concerned that's when the sun runs out isn't it?
