I am coming on my own this year, and as my bones are not as young as they used to be, and after last years horrendous treck from Wriversevern car park!! I would like to arrive early enough to get close to Gate D (OK I read about the horrendous wait to get IN via gate D, but I am being optimistic about them sorting that out). I am also assuming that the car parks will be open all night, as we havent been told either way.

So... W38/36 look to me the closest, those that parked in them last year what time did you arrive?

Did anyone arrive at 7am and park in west car parks? which car park did you end up in?

Many many thanks

We were in W39 after arriving around 1am, and were almost at the back of the field. The whole area surrounding Glastonbury at that time was dead, we didn't see any cars until we got into the car park.
A lot of traffic seemed to be arriving around 4 if that helps, so I think you'd be quite far away arriving at 7.
We began queuing to get in to site at 7 I think, and spent around 2 hours sat in the same spot on the floor. Think we got to Pennard Hill around 11.

So - arrive at 1am and park in W39

arrive at 6:30 and park in W38

That doesnt make sense to me? surely the earlier you get there the closer you should park?

I am thinking an overnight drive and arrival at 4am will be necessary for me. Less trudging is more important than sleep at my age!
