So, I'm just wondering whether some networks performed better than others on Sunday. This is not a conspiracy theory, just an exercise in curiosity. Alot of people I've asked are on the same ISP and had problems this year when they didn't before on other ISPs. This is probably just coincidence. It's more likely to be down to everyone having a harder time of it this year thanks to an increased "demand" (aka crazed U2 fans ;), or the great weather last year) than anything else. The lottery is random. There is no way to ensure next time will be different and no avoiding the pit of  that is Sunday morning ticket days in future. Do Not Take This Poll Too Seriously.

Anyway, I'm bored.    B)

Just wondering how many got through on internet when they were simultaneously trying on the landline.. as the odd bit of noise from picking up the phone "Might"(if your using a cheap micro filter) of caused a tiny glitch... enough to create a timeout...  did more people succeed using just net with the phone line untouched, as all the horror stories talk about people trying everything,at once, are they just making matters worse?  ... maybee another poll might reveal... anyway back on topic B)

I'm in halls so god knows what the internet service is here. But I did use Chrome, and out of interest tried a few other times to see how clogged it was (bad I know, sorry) and got through immediately each time.

I bought my tickets at 8:52, and had a confirmation email at dead on 9:00.

i got absolutely nowhere near a Seetickets page for 20 minutes using my pc from 8.47am (Virgin) and ended up securing a ticket on my Network 3 HTC Hero mobile phone by 9.30am! I genuinely couldnt believe it, then a friend called and gave me their ref numbers and i went back onto my pc for 20 minutes with no success (not even a queue page)and finally went back onto the mobile, no back button etc. just entered the URL again and bingo, straight through for a second time, and this was at around 10am.
At 10.30 another friend called and gave me her ref details and i tried on both my pc and my phone until 1.20pm when i got the sold out page, so i failed in the end for her... i am now counting on the re-sales for her and another friend who's photo was rejected at 8.50am on friday giving him no time to re-register!

I got mine with Virgin standard. I had them by 8:58 and the confirmation email by 9:14 too  B)

Edit: I was talking to one of my colleagues who also got her tickets at around the 9am mark, so maybe it had more to do with where you live..? (I don't live in any major city by the way.)

I voted other on both - four hours of timeouts from New York, tickets within 20 minutes when I VPNed through to a connection in London. Both are universities, and I think they both basically act as their own ISPs.
