I know this is a how-long-is-a-piece-of-string question, but as a first time glastonbury-goer, realistically what are my chances of getting a ticket?

Out of the people who try for tickets, any ideas roughly how many miss out?

I've missed out on a few tickets recently where its been a sold out a minutes thing, so I'm hoping that as Glastonbury seems to take a few hours for the tickets to go, perhaps it'll be easier

If you're up and on the case in time tomorrow morning - you want to be trying from 8.40 onwards - I think you'll be fine. I don't know anyone who missed out last year that wanted one - and that's around 30 people
:)

I have never tried earlier than 9am but think I may get trying at 8.40am this time. It is only case of throwing my pjs on, making a quick strong brew and getting the laptop on :)

I reckon virtually all 30 people I know were ticketed by 8.55 last year. I wasn't but I refreshed the page twice after it changed and had let me on cos I was a bit pished!

Does anyone actually know anyone who hasn't got tickets in the past (as in people who were up early and everything but just weren't able to)

It's so difficult these days it's actually lower than 0%.

If you try, you may actually find yourself not only failing to get a Glasto ticket, but having tickets for other events vanish from your posessions...

Personally I would not bother. There is more chance of getting a ticket to go see the Michael Jackson/Gary Glitter reunion in the Kiddie Fiddlers Fields (produced by Jonathan King).

Anywhoo. Go ahead ;)
