I'm not sure it's Glenn. Even with Negan's orders, Maggie would not have kept quiet while he was being pummelled. So if it is Glenn they've done a very poor job of keeping up with characters' personalities. I don't think it would be Daryl as they've already taken steps to disable him and a big star of the show like that I don't think would go out without it being properly on screen. Clearly not rick or Carl and Eugene was being held slightly off to one side wasn't he? Couldn't really care about the rest of 'em other than Michonne but she's had a dull series

can't see it being anybody but Abraham myself. just think he's run his coarse and i can think of far more reasons why they'd keep/not bother killing the other characters than i can for him. i was all for it being Glenn right up until that episode where it just didn't feel right for it to be him, especially after already having two silly fake out deaths this series

Finally caught up, personally think six was a really strong season, the back half especially. Yes, there has been stupid moments and the show is annoying me with characters switching morals all the time (Rick, Daryl and Carol) but it's had some really strong moments.

 

See that fans and critics are getting pissy about the end, I loved the last 15 minutes with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, scary as hell intro and the scene with Rick's crew on their knees filled me with dread for those characters. The whole 'who's dead' thing doesn't bother me so much, I know who gets it in the comic despite not being up to that point with the comics. The digital blood is probably the most annoying thing, wish they'd go more practical for the blood effects.

 

I'm really excited for season seven now! Can't wait to see how we move on from here. I've decided that i'll probably catch up and read on with the comics, so i'll get to figure out some stuff that might happen.

Wow, finally caught up with the TV series and this thread!  

The series is ok-, but not as good as some make out. Definitely need to drop the episode count to reduce the filler. GOT are doing the same for the last two series and that's a much better programme.

The most annoying thing here is the comic readers; you guys really need a new thread of your own, as some spoilers are sneaking through.  Also the constant "character x isn't like that in the comics"and and all that is really grating.  The GOT books had their own thread for that shit and seemed to work.

i don't think the episode was that great as a whole, but damn those couple of scenes. i totally expected them to puss out of really showing anything but they went all in. i'd predicted it'd be Abraham to go but didn't think they'd do Glenn too. just hope this season is much better than the latter half of last. it annoys me just how patchy this show can be, to a point where i sometimes wonder why i'm even still watching

Ah yeah, taking a baseball bat covered in barbed wire to a couple of characters  you have followed for years and watching them die slowly while all other characters you know are a blubbering mess is new heights of brutality, even for this show

Also, how Negan's mind works is a fucking scary thought. How he frames the whole Rick/Carl (aka Abraham/Isaac) situation in that if Rick doesn't do it he will kill Carl then shoot everyone else in front of him, then bring him to Alexandria and kill everyone there in front on him and only then kill Rick(but may allow him live for a few years with the pain of all that before he does!!) Sick c**t................

wow I cant believe that was shown on the telly. That was more horrific than any horror film I can remember. Brutal stuff.

I've been thinking the same, to the extent I didn't even notice Glenn's eye until Negan pointed it out! I mean, we were groaning and Urgh-ing but didn't feel any need to turn. The over the top nature of it made it easier to handle I think.

I also didn't notice til he drew attention to it, but then I was somewhat horrified and transfixed at the dent in his noggin.

I also had the same thoughts about the level of violence I was witnessing, I'm not one for gore but the way the scenes were portrayed somehow seemed fitting with the audience almost held in a traumatic state with the characters.  Great film making but hardly entertainment.  It was a clever choice to set us up to see Abe die, knowing that he was the character the audience were probably least connected with, then throw one of the most beloved characters to the floor unexpectedly.

Agreed. Considering the hoo ha over a few minutes of ear slicing in Reservoir Dogs a couple of decades ago. That was pretty much an hour of torture porn.
