Who Was The Best Band You Saw This Year?
I couldn't include every band in the poll obviously, so I chose the 18 bands that commanded the 'biggest' positions on the line-up on the lineup. I know a much smaller band could have made the festival for people.
Vote for your favourite, or if the band falls into the OTHER category, please state. I'll try and add up the totals for each band that falls into the OTHER category if they have enough votes, just to be fair.
Thanks

I voted for The Libertines. however they are tied with Weezer and Ash.

I voted Weezer. The most memorableset of the weekend, maybe due to the fact I was surprised as much as anything. Noteable mention to Against Me! who were incredible at Leeds.

Arcade Fire, it wasn't even close.

Tempted to vote Guns purely for the comical ending, but it had to be Arcade Fire.

Arcade Fire with ease for me.
Was not expecting them to be that good. Blew me away. Plus it was the only band all weekend where the sound was perfect from where I was standing.

Weezer were great, as were Frank Turner, The Libertines and QoSA, but Arcade Fire win the prize. I would have enjoyed Ash very much, but I've seen them so often, and can expect them to be playing locally any year, that watching Arcade Fire in their moment of glory was a no-brainer.

Frank Turner deserved to be on the list, if I hadn't seen 3 or 4 of his shows already this year he'd have gotten my vote. I went for Weezer instead.

Blink were by a mile the best band. No one even came close except Paramore and Queens.

I think Frank will be headlining in 5 years time, he just needs a little commercial success and to keep at what hes doing, his shows are always memorable and his songs are beautiful, it's a matter of time my friends...

I was thinking the same. He's already played as a support to Green Day at Wembley.
