After Weezer covered them this year, the crowd wen't mental. How brilliant would it be for Wheatus to turn up next year, low mainstage, to play some tunes. Pretty certain they'd draw a crowd, a crowd full of drunk elder teens/early 20's who want some nostalgia with their gaymers
Teeage Dirtbag & A Little Respect live.... anyone? Surely someone?

They would not play low mainstage, they are too small

where would you suggest?

I think they would command such a low spot that Festival Republic wouldn't bother, as they're so off the radar. I could never see the likes of Fu Manchu, Buzzcocks, Oceansize at the festival. All are bands that are either well known from the past, or have a huge cult following.
If they did play I think they would be in the tent. Probably Festival Republic tent. Although very high up in this tent.

people would go for the sake of one song, which weezer played this year (and probably better) so theres no point

I completely disagree, weezer could easily open the main stage. Some bands do it with no hits and a far smaller crowd than wheatus would get.

Suppose, think headlining festival republic wouldn't be a bad place, i saw Ash for the sake of "Burn Baby Burn" I will be honest there!! Have they done anything over the last 5 years though, are they even still a band! I remember they supported bowling for soup like 2 or 3 years back...

if they are still around, i think they would have to release some new material to be given a place on any stage.

Wheatus and Fountains of Wayne would be fun

I wanted them to open Sunday this year. But what with Weezer playing Teenage Dirtbag, I guess it doesn't matter.

Ha yeah they are. I looked them up earlier. they released an EP last year.
but yeah, i think they have 2 hits that will gather a crowd. Little Respect and Teenage Dirtbag were huge hits. Think they could easily command a low main spot.
that said i wasn't totally serious. but i garentee if you stick em on mainstage as an opening or 2nd on, the crowd would be fairly huge.

It was OK to sing along to Teeange Dirtbag because Weezer were playing it and it was ironic. If Wheatus played it I'm pretty it would be seen as a bit lame.

Yeah they are still around, I saw them in Liverpool in June and they were quality, I dont see why they couldn't play a low slot on the Main Stage.

Anyone who doesn't want to see the gloriously entitled Hump Em Dump Em performed at Reading is clearly a liar.
