that story is a month old - it's merely repeating what he said in another interview (I forget who with now) where he said they'd been asked to play Friday.

Agreed - that's true.  

As is that the Government made up stories about WMDs and Saddam's connections to Al-Qaeda as a premise to invade Iraq.

Look on the bright side though. We got to see a man been taunted and then hanged on the internet, followed by a few frames of his lifeless swinging corpse with half of his head ripped off.

Where the people are a many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
Where the executioner's face is always well hidden
