They've just banned fires from normal people.
I fully understand the concept but also understand dickheads can easily turn a small fire into a large one very quickly. Do you want the security to hand out "normal people" badges to distinguish between you and the dickheads.

I want security to stop treating us like children and f**king our night up so they can have a quiet night on the sunday.

Of course there is plenty of justification, looking at previous years there was no option but to take the steps to make the Sunday safer for everyone on site. If something wasn't done, there would possibly be no festival. One which they've revoked from normal festival goers with little justification.

And why are you insistent this is down to security? They don't make the rules, nor do they do things so they can have a quiet night. I can assure you the Sunday night at Reading is anything but quiet for a lot of staff on the site, not just security.
If you genuinely think you have a complaint, then here is the addresses of the people you need to complain to instead of whining on like a little bitch on an internet forum -

Because putting forward my views on a site designed specifically for that counts as whining like a little bitch.
Security and the staff caused this by all their bitching and moaning, it was fine as it was. It's as if they think the night shift is for sleeping, it's for working, been there done that. Man up.
I won't waste a stamp on festival republic, useless pricks they are, and you know where I am sunday night. I look forward to your arrival

What an absolute prick you are. Security are pretty decent nowadays but there was a time where it was just a team of hired goons. I'd love you to play the big hard man with them, they'd have you in tears in minutes you sad f**k.
A bit of advice, maybe get yourself a girlfriend or a life and find other ways of keeping warm at night you complete loser.

It was fine as it was, security just did a very poor job at crowd control so they bought in unneccassary measures.
Most of the security are still rude goons and treat people like they're irresponsible children, I've worked in security before, been SIA licenced since last august. It's clear to me the staff are poorly trained and don't actually give a shit about people enjoying the festival.
Got a girlfriend, got a life and I'm having my fires. Light and heat to keep the party going, to keep the festival spirit alive.
Drinking when it is dark and cold is not my idea of a good night.

Ah, see I knew about Reading, but it being in the Leeds area confused me. Reading is a different Kettle of fish, it's in a residential area as I understand it, Leeds is East Jesus Nowhere.
