Hi You all,
I was wondering what experiences people have had using the phone or web. I have used the web and struggled last year to get through. Wondered how people got on with the phone.

I always do both at the same time, although I have never got though on the phone even once.

Phone was no dramas. Web was slow but was able to check emails. This is on O2 by the way.
Never had a problem using the web. Couldn't get through using the phone.
EDIT - Thought you meant using either at the festival.

i was on the web at 09:00 and tickets were done and paid for at 9.20, just kept refreshing the page till i got it done.
The worst is waiting for the confirmation email which can take a few days.

I also usually have both going at the same time but have never had any success on the phone. The worst was 2004 - "This is a BT announcement" all night long!

I used to use the phone all the time but now I just go on forums to chat to people, so it's the internet for me.

Full on command centre. Landline, mobile, couple of laptops, MSN chat with other people. And the link off here in advance - I reckon all 30 people I know who were trying for tickets last year had got them by 9.10 - most of them before 9 (I refreshed my browser twice without realisng the page had changed!)

Internet, last year I got up about 10, got through, but decided to duck out(was waiting for student loan), then realised it was selling out and tried to get a ticket on the day and decided not to.
This year I shall be on the tinternet from 07:00 and have my friend with card details on entirely different connection in a different part of the country trying

Used web and phone last year.
Website crashed when i confirmed the payment, was never sure if it went through ok. And i wouldn't let me try again to purchase tickets. In the end it did go though ok.
I ended up having to phone though as well because my mates registration number wouldn't work and so had to speak with someone.
I had one computer, internet explorer and firebox - both with a few tabs each and of course efestivals loaded up just to see how everyone else was getting on. And a lot of F5ing

err...is it me or is your 'foolproof' way to get tickets merely to keep trying until you have them?
I never thought it could be so easy...thanks!

Internet.
Took me about 20 minutes last year, and 15 minutes the year before. It's something which can be done with relative ease whilst hung-over and without even having to get out of bed.

I thought I remembered using the phone last year on the automated message saying to try again during the office opening hours of 9-5 monday to friday :|
So if you want tickets via the phone theres a chance you may have to wait til monday lol
Also Im gonna go on at 5 to 9, as generally they start selling a few minutes early

Internet no question.
Last year the page changed for me at 856am - by 902 I had submitted all my details and bought the six deposits. By 920 I had a coffee in my hand and a confirmation email. It was ALMOST anti-climactic! Still followed eFestivals and Facebook for the next couple of hours to watch the madness unfold!
