For the 2nd year running I'm off to football on T-day! (Chelsea away)
Think we could see a major T-day this year, not sure about anyone else but lots of my friends who missed last year or who haven't been before are adament that they are coming in 2011, particually boyed on by the glorious weather we had at this years event!

Full ticket details say you have to have signed up for the Verified by Visa or Mastercard Securecode this year as well.
They dont like to make things easy for us do they.

Yeah - something else to crash or lock up in the middle of the transaction . . .
Will be hell this year because:
1. U2, Kylie etc. all but announced,
2. This years good weather,
3. Fallow year due in 2012,
4. Seemingly much greater publicity and TV coverage the festival has received this year.
Really not looking forward to this one.

thats very steep. i'll pay it, this time. but unless i've got a significantly better job by 2013 this'll probably be the last time. i could go to a european dance festival and tie it in with a week beach holiday for that price. to be honest, there's a good chance i might end up not going next year either thinking about it.
i don't really get how they justify these price rises. it all started a few years ago when petrol prices went mental, but then its just never stopped

"Festival inflation" has been running well above the normal inflation rate for around two decades if not longer. A big part of what's driving that is the ever-increasing regulation that festivals have to comply with.
(And this will continue to increase, because H&S people aren't ever going to say "that's it, everything is as safe as it can be". If nothing else, that puts them out of a job
).
Funnily enough, this is the first time that I can think of where the inflation rate of a major festival's ticket is below the normal inflation rate.
