I got to the front row just as Dizzee went off stage. He then came back on to play Bonkers. I'd been in the second row for hours and hours, waiting for the libertines. After about a minute of Bonkers, I couldn't take the pain, and got lifted out. I got a cut on my thigh from just standing there, along with a lot of bruising. I was there on Sunday night though, from roughly Cypress Hill onwards, and, while that was a bit painful, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as Dizzee/Libertines.

There was an awful crush in the libs at leeds
At one point early in the set, a load of people fell over and got trapped, as there was no room to pull people up and more just kept on fall on top of them
There was people on the bottom for about 10 mins, may not sound like long but when people were struggling to breathe for being crushed, must've been pretty terrifying
Not much organisers can do though, by the sounds of it the crowd wasn't especially huge, it was just unlucky

Was this towards the left of the stage? If so I was shiting myself; never hit the deck at a gig before but could feel a guy under me and it's probs the most scared I've ever been in my life (at a gig). It was complete madness, security weren't really doing anything about it in my eyes; if there's a crush the worst thing you could possibly do is shout and wave your arms to say "GET UP". Think by the time Vertigo finished into Last Post On The Bugle it had dispersed but was still a really scary moment.

Solutions need to be taken from European festivals such as Southside or Lowlands. Out there, you can wander down to a headlining band 5 minutes before they go on and still get pretty much to the front, but there's no stupid crushes, just decent dancing potential.

Pendulum this year was pretty crushed but I blame the god awful enter Shikari set before. My worst was arctic monkeys at Glasto 07, really did think i was going to die there. scary scary times!

Libs this year was quite bad from where I was but nothing has ever compared with the prodigy last year for me, f**king hell.  I was about 20 rows out for the start when they came on and I have never felt anything like that, spent 20 minutes fighting for air and being elbowed in the throat and chest before finally deciding to get out, had to physically claw my way up because there was no way anyone was able to lift you because everyone was so packed.

Finally managed to pull my self up and start crowdsurfing to the front before being half dropped and ending up upside down for a good 5 minutes, this was nowhere near as much fun as it sounds, finally one of the security spotted my leg sticking out just above the crowd and managed to pull me out, bloodied nose, swollen face and all.  it was f**king horrific.

I think if the exit of the D was at the back and not heading towards the toilets it would have helped a lot. The fact that the people leaving the D headed straight into the people heading towards the toilets didn't help at all.

It's something i will never get with Reading. Everyone pushes forward to see the band, knowing full well they will not get to the barrier, and that if everyone pushes forward it will only cause crushes.... so they do it anyway. Even for bands where there is no need to cause crushes. If you stand the f**k still then you will see the band better then iff you are hamming the person in front. You can still jump around/start pits without causes risk to others in front.

Yeah that was the one :/ I wasn't in it but was just trying to give people space and basically try lift people up.
I did think the security was a bit useless as they just stood there shouting to get up and move back, which everyone was already trying to do. I was terrified when I saw this lass who was on the floor, really struggling to breathe, have about 20 more people fall on top. I was so relieved when I saw her get picked up and taken over the barrier consciously
