I really don't think i am.
The hundreds of peopel f**king off from there crowd would agree.
I'm sure it was nice for the fans to see them./ But for a non-fan, or a casual fine like me.... It was awkward, desparete and the weakest headline set possibly of all tiem.

I'm 36 and my mates are all older so we never got into them the first time around and all of us loved them
I've seen Arcade Fire before and found them really boring and wouldn't unzip my tent to see them ,but looking at most peoples scores on here, lots of people loved them so it's all about opinion.

I didn't see Arcade Fire either. They kinnda bore me, and they drew a tiny crowd.
It's not a matter of opinion with Blink. The fact is, it's pretty clear people seem to look at Blinks gig through Rose tinted glasses. It's strange that people can't even be slightyl critical of the bands set. It was hideous.

You can't always rate your enjoyment of a band based solely on how good they were. Being in amongst a big crowd of people singing along and jumping around plays a part to. I'm no more than a casual fan of Blink, but I got in the crowd, sung along and had a good time, even though watching back on the TV I thought they looked pretty poor (thought similar about The Libertines actually.)

Friday
Alkaline Trio - 3.5 : Dreadful sound (I know they can do better!)
Queens of the Stone Age - 10 : Band of the weekend
Biffy Clyro - 9 : Awesome crowd, good to hear Jaggy Snake
Lostprophets - 8 : Too muddy! However the parts that were good were awesome
NOFX - 7.5 : Laugh out loud funny at times
Gogol Bordello - 7.5 : Solid as ever, good party atmosphere
A Day to Remember - 4.5 : I just wanted it to end
Saturday
Pendulum - 9 : Best sound of any band of the weekend by a f**king mile!
Enter Shikari - 7.5 : Crowd was so rough I was too busy concentrating on that rather than the band, plus dissapointing for them
Crystal Castles - 7 : Suprisingly good! Catchy and great sound
Frank Turner - 7 : I knew no songs, but he was awesome!
The Maccabees - 3.5 : Bored me to tears, we left after two songs (I think)
Sunday
Blink-182 - 8.5 : Perfect band to end the weekend with, despite not being the best. Really chilled out and happy atmosphere
Paramore - 3 : Worst band I have ever seen live. Shit sound and an even worse crowd! Why so high up?
Weezer - 9.5 : A true lesson in how to put on a f**king good show, Rivers you are a legend! Had no idea I'd enjoy them this much
Limp Bizkit - 8 : Solid as ever, a greatest hits set. Would have been better but it was pretty rough for the last songs so I was cautious
Los Campesinos - 5 : Meh

I'm not really a fan of Blink and only went to see them as my girlfriend is a big fan, but although I don't particularly like there music there is no doubting they played a good set.

The Maccabees were a lot tighter than Blink, but you didn't exactly have a magical moment of seeing your childhood band where everyone was singing and taking care of each other. Here the vastly tighter band was dreadful.

Not really sure if these are in the actual order I saw them in - and the lack of amazing main stage scores I blame on the sound really - so here goes:
SATURDAY
----------------
Arcade Fire 8.5/10
The Libertines 8.75/10 (silly rating because it wasn't quite a 9 but was obv more special for me than Arcade Fire)
Giggs 7/10
Gallows 8/10
The Invasion Of 1/10
The Cribs 7/10
Modest Mouse 6/10

I understand that you were only a casual fan, so if you really didn't like Blink they there were plenty of other stages you could have gone to.
Don't get me wrong, the musicianship was poor, the sound was even worse, Tom being so off on something that he couldn't do anything. But the fact that the crowd were singing along to every word, the atmosphere within it, the energy they had, biggest headliner crowd, flares being set off, and just seeing Blink 182 (for most a childhood band) and them of course splitting up and the only English shows they did, I would have given a 9.

well said. and i'm sure if Soundgarden had headlined (which will never happen) and they weren't actually that good or tight or whatever you keep saying but you enjoyed it because you were watching one of your favourite bands again after x amount of years, you'd rate it at least 9. just because you thought they were shit, doesn't the the tens of thousands of people who absolutely loved it did.

anyone who watched enter shikari think the dubstep in their songs was f**cking dreadful and it kind of killed some of the songs
they done the same when i say them support the prodigy and noticed on videos they done the same at reading
my mate on the other hand thought it was genius
thoughts anyone?

haha cheap shot
It could happen, very easily.... but thats not for this discussion.
I am critical of things i like though. Weezer were the best band of the weekend for me... but 2 and a half covers in an hour set is just to cricket. The Libs could have interacted a bit more. GnR could have showed up on bloody time. Atari Teenage Riot could be a little less corny with their politics. Blink could learn to play their instruments. It's easy to say yeah i enjoyed it, but they weren't good. It's foolish to say they were the best thing ever because they are playing old songs that i like badly.
