After checking my bank account and double checking to make sure I had not made a mistake!! I was wondering how much did everyone spend?
How much was your ticket? face value or overblown ebay purchase and how much did you spend when you were there, did you take your own food or buy on site. What was the overall cost of the weekend to you?

Roughly about 320 quid. Sounds really bad to spend that on a weekend.

£15 ish on food taken + portable bbq
- £20 petrol money of giving others a lift

Tried to do it on the cheap this year, as i paid through the roof with stuff I could have taken with me in 2009. Gave some mates a lift instead of chipping in on the tent, which got destroyed by idots burning holes in it. As I only live 10 miles away i gave 4 others a lift at 5am on the morning, before i picked the rest of my party up, so that was £20 quid petrol money.
Personally i think for the 3 days, it is well worth it. Paying £5 for a jacket potato/hot baguette works out way to much if you dont have your own food. The same goes for the alcohol, with 3 pints at v you could buy a crate of 24 cans :/

£176 for weekend camping ticket including booking fee.
Brought own food to campsite for breakfast and took sandwiches in for first part of the day. Only neede to buy one kiosk meal per day. Also managed to sneak a fair amount of our own alcohol into the arena. Also took advantage of free mojito offer at bacardi tent (needed to get tokens online beforehand). This kept cost down.
Check out my blog at www.fatherof3boys.com for further tips.
Cheers

I spent way too much on V and it actually makes me sick thinking about the amount -
Ticket from Ebay = £220
Campervan Hire = £130
Petrol = £30
Alcohol = £25
Food = £25
Spending Money = £40 (i did take more but didnt really spend that much)
Other = £100 (dont ask)
Total = £570!!!!
Not to mention I bought a few new tops and a rain mac but im not even going to think about that....me and bf are off to Thailand next year for my 30th which I could have done this year for not much more money, crazy, I still had an ace time and we did splash out with the camper as a treat this year so that is why my budget works out a bit more....but hey you only get one life dont ya x

How much did you spend indie? I'm sure it cannot be as bad as me!

Ha ha! I don't want to think about it. My daughter lost her ticket getting to the campsite and despite the ticket not being used and knowing the serial number V refused to give her a wrist band so I ended up buying another ticket on site. Many thanks to the Geordies who sold me a ticket at face value - you magic men!
I reckon the weekend cost me more than an all inclusive week in the sun - but I reckon I enjoyed it 3x as much; so many brilliant bands and laugh out loud moments!

Well as you know I sold my tickets because just couldn't afford it but then won some back so didn't spend that much on it this year. Spent £60 in Tesco on beer, breaky and bits and bobs to take, £10 on parking, and £70 when I was there. Normally we spend around £600 in all for the weekend so that's why I'm giving it a miss in future. Can't justify the money anymore when I don't overly enjoy it. Found much better festivals that cost us about £200 for whole weekend!

Took £65 with me, spent about £55 on a band shirt, shuttle bus, meals and drinks. £10 train ticket, so probably spent about £230 overall.

i spent about £550 all in this year, but i had to buy some new stuff that i wont have to buy next year (cost about £100).
could have done it much cheaper but i had saved my pennies for a couple of months

I spent an obscene amount,
I have to base it x 2 as the shopping was all together
Face value ticket £175 x 2
£160 - 0ther (again dont ask)
£120 - At Asda the day before, booze, snacks, wipes etc..
£12 - per morning per breakfast = £36
£20 per day for meals = £60
£40 per day in Barcardi tent £80
£100 approx on rubbish, hats, day glo face paint, glow sticks
£20 petrol
£10 parking
£60 for new tent
this comes to about a grand all in all, this was between two of us, I know it is spread over a few months with the tickets being bought earlier in the year,
Again i think it is worth every penny and a festival onlys costs what you want it to cost but Jesus mother Mary and God I had a shock

I only spent £15 in there. I do not know how. I think a undercover millionaire must of slipped me money during one of my "naps". I bought a hat in there (£10), breakfast (£6), the guide thing (£10), two pints of Strongbow, but the lad never charged me.
