Agree with Arctic Monkeys.
How about Elvis costello as blast-from-the-past?
Not seen him tour for years.

White Stripes with either QOTSA or Them Crooked Vultures supporting would get me back for a day at least
Arctic Monkeys have changed so much as a band im not sure how they'd go down at V now, Atmosphere wise, They'd get a huge crowd, but I just imagine it dead
Id like to see !!! as a Union headliner [and Union headliners to get longer sets]

Well if the Foos are playing two big gigs to kickstart a UK tour in July then I think we could be in for a treat. Problem is how can they top 2007?
Its got to be either V or R/L as well as Glasto (possibly Hard Rock Calling too as its 40 years of Hard Rock Cafe), don't know if they'll turn up to Download as well as its a month before their MK Bowl appearance.
I just don't think they'd sit well if we get Take That headlining another day... then again based on all the negative feedback I've seen if they do book Take That the Foos might be the only thing to save it from being a dire year (for many posters tastes anyway).

I gave V a miss this year for the first time in about 9-10 years and did IOW and Kendal Calling instead...found both to be far, far better but if V managed to get Foo's & Arctics I might be tempted to drag my sorry ass back there for 2011...

RHCP is possible as they have a new album out next year, but unfortunately I think there will be a large number of people who don't actually know who they are.
I was speaking to a friend about V headliners recently, as she is interesting in going next year after watching Pixie Lott on the TV and when I asked who she'd like to headline, her reply was 'Tinie Tempah, The Script, and JLS'. I then informed her that although those acts may play, the headliners are large well-known acts, and suggested RHCP. She had no idea who they are, and sadly I think that my friend is on par with an 'average v-goer'.
I know that the majority of people will be happy to see RHCP play (myself included!) but it may be a similar situation to the 'who are arcade fire?!?!' from R&L this year. Although hopefully not, as I am a huge RHCP fan and would love to see them play again, whether they are a popular choice or not

The White Stripes and The Who headlining would be awsome for me.
Never gonna happen though.
