The ALAN?! craze all started at the mainstage in weston park just before faithless began on saturday. A bloke probly in his late 40's was wondering around shouting HELEN?! looking for his mrs we presume and 4 lads from shrewsbury Adam Donnely, Dan Williams, Aaron Taylor and myself Robert Wray all began shouting it randomly then we realised it sounded like alan haha!! We carried on shouting it determined to find an Alan somewhere on the site and had most of the blue campsite and red site shouting it and i think it must of took over because chelmsford were aparantly shouting it haha!! the international response to ALAN?! is always STEVE and theres another story behind that haha!! we eventually found an Alan just before the phonics played and we confirmed it by insisting on seeing his i.d!! there were some unconfirmed sitings of a helen but no i.d was shown. if your name was alan or helen plz let us know we'd love to hear from you. Also if your name's Basil that would be a bonus!! Any stories about ALAN?! shouting from around the camp either stafford or chelmsford would be much appreciated.
Cheers Wrayz

love how people claim they started something that was on both sites - Chelmsford heard you did they?
It's from a BBC series
inspired by an Alan Partridge scene.

Whatever twats think its funny, they need to get a life. It was used last year to death and there was no change this year. What got me was the fact that people spent more time wandering round the festival with a stupid banner annoying people (to get a laugh) rather than actually doing what they paid the £170+ for and watch live music. Some people eh??The ALAN?! craze all started at the mainstage in weston park just before faithless began on saturday. Thinking about it, there is a market here, I'm gonna start Twat Fest and charge these idiots £170, put them all in a field together and ask them to try and find Alan and Steve. They will be in their element, and I will give the proceeds to a decent charity.

it could be to do with this...
www.wearealan.com
This has been happening to festivals all over the country for a while now and we got inspired by it some years and set up our own night over it... we did this before the program came about.
ALAN is an acronym for Awareness & Love All Nighters. That came to us through positive thought...
Our aim is to hold all night quality music events showcasing old/new & Live music and to provide alternative information/theories on the world around us in the hope we can make a positive change in all things such as environment, politics, human and animal welfare… Whilst at the same time promoting unconditional love to your fellow human.
Music we cover DnB, Breaks, Jungle, Electro, House, Old Skool, Breakcore, Dubstep, Rave, Bassline, Techno, Minimal, Psytrance, Psybreaks, Psycore, Electronica, Bootyshake, Reggae, Ambient and IDM...we also have facepainting, live performances, art, visuals, fully themed elaborate decor, games, B-Boys, circus performers, bouncy castles, Glittermen, magicians, Drum circles, Rave toy give outs, Wish lanterns, Hidden crowd interactions and of course we raise money for charities through selling glowsticks.
Please check out our website for event updates as we're holding raves in London every other month!
Afterall, its about the journey NOT the destination!
"Raving awareness about the current global situation through good vibes, good tunes and great people..."
