Paul Weller had it spot on when he had his rant about people throwing bottles its c****sh behavior, i got off lightly but the amount of p!ss filled bottles and cups gettimg launched was ridiculous, so many people had their experience ruined by an unexpected golden shower.
The lack of toilets is a bloody disgrace, its ok for us blokes we can go anywhere whilst maintaining some degree of dignity but the huge queues forcing women to squat behind (or not) a friend holding a coat up for privacy was an all to familiar site. I don't know if its the vibe of this festival but i've never saw any of this behaviour at glastonbury.
A seemingly lack of any organisational skills by those in power, over two hours queueing for beer tokens, wristband queues, toilet queues, bar queues
I also think the the commercialism of V is a huge let down, T shirts £20 poor quality and doubt they would survive a couple of washes (£14 at glasto and decent quality), £10 for a programmme so you can find out who is playing and where, not one poster, banner or info point to tell you what is going on (free programme and guide in a cotton bag at Glasto included in price given to you when you get wristband and plenty of notices around site to let you know whats coming up)
I know this is a bit of a rant but don't get me wrong i had a brilliant weekend, ouitstanding line up with great company and was very fortunate to have some lovely tent neighbours, i even lost my fone last night and the person who found it said he was handing it in to lost property to several of the people he rang from my contact list to try to find me.

the car parks at weston were a frickin joke on monday!! im afraid that was my last v fest aswell , glasto for me !! far too many problems with V that the organisers haven't addressed over the years

toilets-why dont they put loos next to the spare areas where ppl piss against fences and trees simple really

car parks-no organisation cars everywhere going in any directions

programmes-do not have to be 10 quid for christ sakes

stages-putting tinie tempah and example in a tent when they are two of the biggest acts of the year so far, leaving thousands of ppl outside(including myself) TENT FULL just a joke

anyways i did have a good but not a great weekend , far too many chavs which makes not as chilled out as it shud be ,

I wasn't too bothered about the wee 1) because I was expecting it and 2) I'm a nurse so used to it anyway!!

I agree about the chavs though. There was a group of em pitched about 50 yards from us and they were going around on sunday night and shaking tents and going into empty ones, one of them was arrested for assault (they were singing and showing off about it) and another decided that it's be "cool" and funny to set his tent on fire on Monday morning. needless to say they just threw him out but idiots like that ruin the festival for everyone else who paid out £180+ for their tickets. Tools!

My first festival and I loved it but from the amount of chavs and 16/17 year old immature screaming girls it definitely wasn't a music lovers' festival!

However, I shall be returning next year as well as having a go at Glasto and possibly Leeds!

me and my girlfriend had a great time. I have done many festivals before and thought that V was just as good as any other ones.

BUT i cannot believe how few toilets there were, it was terrible after paying almost 200 quid for a ticket you would expect that they could afford to hire some more toilets. We qued for and hour and a half one morning it was crazy. And i didnt even bother queing for drinks as 4.60 is a rip off

All in all it was a great weekend though, loved Kasabain they totally over staged KoL as we all knew they would, and florance and weller were great too. The weather even turned out to be ok in the end

was this in red camp by any chance? there was a group of chavs right near us who set a tent on fire aswell as a big pile of all their equipment. aswell as some guy who felt it neccesary to scream at the top off his voice allsorts of rubbish untill 4 am in the morning.

the sad thing is i think you'll get idiots like that no matter where you go. I was in a large group and whilst we certainly all had a good drink we still know the difference between being complete d1cks and simply just having a good time. I got woke up by one of the aforementioned group taking a wizz on my tent one night aswell.

This is my fourth year at V and I've never seen so many idiots and never had so much piss thrown over me.  Some bloke in front of me for the Editors threw 4 cups in about 2 minutes.  When I went to watch the phonics (one of my most looked foward to bands!) it was ruined because there was a group of idiots next to me who thought it would be hilarious to a) start a mosh pit and B) pick up one of their friends and throw them into the people infront (me and my partner and another couple in their late 40s).  The first time I let it slide and he fell on the floor and got up, second time he was about to fall on me and knock me over so I grabbed him and yanked him down as hard as I could-hurt him and he walked off   , still not impressed though.  There were wayyy too many idiots this year and it kind of spoiled V for me, I've never been bothered with the odd cup off piss, I know people do it, but this year my t-shirts were soaked after the headliners and I smelt like a toilet!  The people camping next to us in red complained when we pitched our tents as there was no room "for their chairs and to sit around", but they didnt complain to me or the group, they bitched stupidly loudly to the people in the tent next door, rather than asking us to move.  They then sat infront of my friends tent on purpose and when he went to get his things out said "do you really need to go in there?" bunch of fags.  I've never known a festival so rude as this one, going to give it one more go next year and if it's the same I shall be taking my custom elsewhere, partially due to the above mentioned and like what other people said-paying for the stage times, stupid priced t-shirts, lack of signage, no alcohol in the arena then £4 a pint and lack of toilets making hour long queues in the morning.  Plus all the silly girls that left about 7 (yes 7) toilets free because there was a tiny bit of poo or tissue in there that they could see, it's a festival, not the ritz! Rant over- other than all this, a good festival was had! Couldn't fault the bands or any of the fun I had with my mates, and most of the people there were a laugh!

I agree with all thats been said!!

I saw someone go and find a steward this year when they had been covered in piss, had obviously seen who had done it and the steward came and escorted the culprits out, don't know if they got kicked out or just got a telling off, but it should happen more often with plain clothed security in the crowd.

Car parking and traffic was also awful, how I can travel from the North West and end up in the West car park having got to the A5 and been just a mile or so away from the closer car parks, and then being forced to go down to M54 is just stupid.  Getting off was worse, then the M6 northbound was closed, I got home at 8pm having been in the car for 9am!!  Being in West car park also meant a real long trek back to the car, thats a treck I won't miss!!

I think some of the acts are definitely attracting some of the less desirables, plus festivals and gigs are increasingly popular and V is probably a big victim of that.  I am into more of the guitar based music but think that bands like Oasis and Kasabian and KOL do attract more 'lads' and their behaviour is generally not as present.  Add to that more 'urban' type acts and we get scenarios like tinnie tempah fans getting a spot in the tent for him whilst Shaun Ryder was on reuslting in some trouble and heckling.  It was almost like the modern day mods vs rockers, but Madchester vs MOBO!!!!

Other usual things apply about queueing and price of drinks, but I kinda expect that with my festival experience now.  We were camped in red near T18, and didnt really notice too much unruly behaviour from where we were.

I don't know any solutions though, but the chav underclass spoiling the experiences of others is a consistent within our modern day society, an example of such is the fact I could barely jump along to my favourite music as my ankle had been injured by a chav whilst playing footy 2 or 3 weeks ago!!!

Only thing to point out is that its probably not the people reading this forum that will be some of the guilty ones so they won't care about messing up peoples experience!
