if Guns N'Roses have to pull, who would you like to see replace them, personally, i would like to see Foo Fighters.

other: bump up everyone for the fun of it then put InMe opening the main stage!

Personally, I would love The Strokes. Would be a great end to the weekend.
I can't see it happening though, and I believe it to be QOTSA or Foos if they pull out.
Which wouldn't be that bad either... mostly cause I love LCD Soundsystem and Alkaline Trio. So I'll have a nice choice

who we want to headline isnt the question, its more who you'd be able to get 2 weeks before the festival. IMO they'd probably be forced to bump everyone up this close to time.

Chance for Dave Grohl to really show how much he loves Reading

They'd probably just bump everyone up & get a smaller band to open the day or slot in somewhere mid-afternoon. I'm praying that QOTSA don't close Leeds, such a downer to end the festival on.

Foo fighters would be great but cant see it. Maiden seem most obvious as they headlined sonisphere so will have setlist and props sorted out already. They are also already in the country! Up the irons!

If they were forced to bump everyone up, we could get some good long sets from bands that day (or knowing FR... some long gaps in between bands
) with only 8 bands!
12:00-13:00: Young Guns
13:15-14:15: A Day To Remember
14:30-15:30: Billy Talent
15:45-16:45: Gogol Bordello
17:00-18:00: NOFX
18:15-19:30: LostProphets
19:50-21:20: Biffy Clyro
21:50-23:30: QOTSA
Every band could comfortably get an hour with the top 3 all getting more.
Queens headlining would be poor though. I reckon they would at least have a go at getting Grohl in.

The combo of QOTSA and Soundgarden would be the most amazing thing ever. However, they would obviously just bump up QOTSA and add in another band mid way up-ish?
just to add... f**k dave grohl.

Out of that list I'd say Green Day or Metallica.
Surely if they were gonna be replaced (doesn't look like they'll have to be now) it should be a band with a similar style for those who bought day tickets.
The likes of Gorillaz, Strokes, Blur, Prodigy etc. don't really fit the bill. Thank f*ck Muse aren't available, I couldn't stand the ammount of people w*nking themselves into a frenzy at the prospect of that massively average overhyped lightshow rolling onto the line-up.

the only act that I'd be happy to see instead of GnR would be Blur, but luckily we don't have to worry about this anymore.

If they had've pulled out the only bands that could have filled that void for me would have been Iron Maiden or AC/DC.

Can we change the question to "Who should play inbetween sets as Gun n Roses will piss about for 2 odd hours after QOTSA have finished?", in which case I would like to Madness or Prodigy to keep me very happy.

Metallica & Blur are the only bands I like capable of headlining a festival. Oh Eminem too but that would never happen.
