If you went to the Big Chill last weekend, you may have discovered a mysterious cinema tent, tucked away in the Enchanted Garden. You may have stepped inside, tempted by the sights and sounds of some classic film playing on the screen, or by the colourful mattressed floor and swathes of luxurious fabric drapped from the ceiling. Perhaps you sat beneath the chandeliers, sipping tea and allowing yourself to be transported back to the golden age of cinema-going. This cinema tent is called the Lost Picture Show, and in a couple of weeks time we will plumping up our cushions and taking on the wonderful world of Shambala.
Expect an eccentric programme, with classics and cults, live scores, cutting edge shorts and pure late-night weirdness. Children's films will be shown in the morning and then in the afternoons we will transform into a Victorian tea room where you can sample the finest selection of cream teas and cakes this side of the British Raj. Or come back in the middle of the night and witness cinematic boundaries be pushed to magnificent extremes!
Our well-stocked bar will be open all day and night, serving a broad menu of hot and cold drinks, sweets, cakes and, of course, popcorn. So make sure that at this wonderful festival you find the time to put your wellies up at our little pocket of cinematic luxury. Whatever is on the screen, we hope you will savour the whole experience!
We may be Victorian in style but not in ethos, and of course we are on Facebook & Twitter. Follow our Twitter account for programme updates during the festival:

See you there, when you manage to find us!

Looks a bit like the excellent Groovy Movie solar-powered cinema tent which was a favourite at the recent Wickham Festival and which can be seen again at the Rhythm Festival later this month.
Cinema tents like this are a great attraction at festivals providing a cosy, relaxed and comfortable alternative venue, often with great film programming.
If you're going to Rhythm or Shambala then seek out these cinema tents.
