I don't want to sit in rush hour traffic on the m6 if I leave earlier that 9 but I wan't to be pitched and drinking
by 1pm.
Last year it took us 1hr and 20mins to get there but we left after 8pm and ended dup pitching up in the dark in the worst campsite 40 minutes walk from the car park behind a burger van!  
So wan't to get there in the day.
From experience is 9am too late??

We set off from Manchester and Bolton at 6am, yeswe sit in traffic outside but there's loads of us still and have a laugh though and last year we were pitched with drinks in hand before 1-m, I have never left as late as 9am I dont know but there are people arriving all day so it is never too late,

Basically just go as early as you can to cut down the amount of time you spend queing to get in.

I'd have thought it would be better to hit the rush-hour traffic in Manchester than sit in loads more traffic around V - I'm sure what you lose around Manchester you'll gain double at least at the other end.

we leave at 7am and yes sit in traffic but it's a good laugh and get in and set up for around 1ish!
