If they are that big then why did half the audience at leeds walk off at the end of the libertines and not stay

The main reason is that, including some of my friends, most people knew Pendulum better
I managed to convince a fair few people to watch the start of Arcade Fire before heading off to the NME stage
Needless to say they all stuck to main stage
If anything I'd say Glastonbury would be a more suitable choice of festival for them to headline
People seem to have a more open attitude to music than Leeds, where the flavour of the month will always get a f*ckoff HUGE crowd

I always compare them to Radiohead, not in the sense that the music is in any way similar, but for the fact that not everyone is going to "get" them...It can take a few listen's to fully appreciate their music, and some people don't like listening to something that doesn't grab them immediately.

You couldn't have compared them to a better band.

Both really really boring.

2 of the most overrated live bands in the world. (I've seen them both)

Thank god they are ruled out as they are not even in the top 50 biggest bands in the world.

The fact is they are talented musicians but just not a great band, they would be much better suited to playing at church fairs.

It's not really a fact is it?

Considering the have three critically acclaimed album, one of which is more or less in every respectable journalist's top five albums of the decade.

I presume you're fishing with that last comment but I'm too passionate when it comes to da fire.

Presumably for the same reason that Limp Bizkit pulled in one of the biggest crowds of the weekend.

Not a fact at all, just my opinion.

If my opinion was fact, NIN would be the greatest band of all time.

If you love Arcade Fire then good for you.

i have to admit i am one of those people who walked off after the libertines to go see pendulum at leeds...
none of my friends liked them and everyone really wanted to see pendulum and it was cold and i wasn't going to see a headliner on my own! also i haven't bought their new album yet and thought they would be playing alot of new material. and i was in the mood for going abit mental to pendulum 2bh!
kind of regretting it now when i see the prices of their arena tour tickets...think might just give the tour a miss and hope they play glasto next year!
