This is my first Leeds festival (sans family) this year and there are a few things worrying me.

1) I originally was camping but due to people-being-shit circumstances I can only go during the days. Do campers and day visitors enter the site the same way and if not should I still go through the campsite entrance with my ticket and get a wristband etc? I looked at the map but it didn't give much away..

2) Since I live in Scotland I'm staying at a hotel about 20 miles away from the site. There are plenty of bands early on the bill I want to see so if it starts at 11 (correct me if that's wrong), when should I set off in the car to avoid traffic so I don't miss the first bands? Also how bad are the queues to get through, from whatever entrance I should be going through?

Thanks for any help, I really don't want something as trivial as tshis stopping me from seeing some of the earlier acts..

Do you mean that you've got a weekend ticket, but that you'll not be camping onsite?  If so, just head to same entrance as everyone else (I'm pretty sure it's the same regardless of whether you're there for the day or the weekend), get your weekend wristband and then you're free to pass in and out as you please. Apologies if there is a separate entrance for day ticket holders...I've never been in the position myself.

As for the arena opening times, the first bands usually kick off around 12, but the arena itself opens its gates around 11.  The queues are generally pretty long, so you'll want to get there pretty early if you want to catch the openers.

Just camp on your own! You'll surely bump into someone you can tag along with?

Yeah I've got a camping ticket and I can't camp anymore. If I set off to be in the queue for about 10 d'you reckon that's enough time or should I go earlier?

Oh I'd camp on my own in a split second if I could! Thing is I'm only 16 (15 now, 16 in 2 weeks) and my Mum's only condition to letting me camp was that I was with someone. Everyone I know does T but I did find a girl who said I could come with her and her friends. Then she changed her mind (gee thanks) so now my dad's going to take me down and we're staying in a cheap hotel instead.

EDIT: I'm not saying cheap in a negative way like I'm ungrateful, I just wanted to make sure people didn't think I was a spoilt brat by demanding a 5-star hotel or something. I'm paying half too.
