Hi, I went to see Orbital for the first time and was blown away, danced my socks off. There was a track they played that had talking before the music started and the lasers kicked in for the first time. I can not remember all the words but the last ones were I think, If it was up to me I would have created lasers from 8 o clock day one. Any ideas from all you Orbital fans. I thought they were amazing. Glad I decided to see them instead of SW.

Welcome to the fold. Awesome weren't they?
The track you refer to was 'The Gun is Good' - the B side on the new single 'Don't Stop Me'. Vid below... enjoy!

I'm still gutted that they didn't play Belfast

If you missed hearing Belfast just dig out or locate any of the live sets from 2004 and 2009 that are out there in t'internetland. It's part of both tours.
I was glad not to hear it tbh cos it meant the set kept banging instead of going slow and floaty ALTHOUGH breakbeat Belfast at Homelands 2001 was one of the best versions they ever played out
Bloody marvellous.

Oh...and what a shame...I get to see it ALL again in less than 48 hours. Yaaaay! Shame it couldnt be twice in the same weekend with the now lack of Glade...boo! I think this will be Orbital concert number 38 for me? Something like that anyway.

Orbital's crown was miniscule wasn't it. I stopped by for a bit and thought they were awesome but the crowd didn't go past the sound desk.
Those that were there definitely made up for it but there were more people at Kate Nash!

38! That's impressive.
Saw them in a small club in Brisbane (Aus) at the start of the year and so I was pumped to see them in full flight. To see them after Faithless was a dream come true in terms of scheduling for me.

Having so much room to move made it even more special. Brought someone along who had barely even heard of Orbital (apart from my rambling). They couldn't understand how a dance act with a show that big and that good could have such a small reputation where we're from (Aus).

Yes that is strange isn't it, must be great to see them in small venues when they come over though.
As I said didn't really seem to affect the atmosphere but did shock me when I got there.

Yeah the intimate setting was unreal...it's hard to beat the full spectacle though. Some of the sound gets dominated by the bass in a club too.

Maida Vale Studios at their FINAL ever live show with John Peel back in July 2004 was the best one I ever went to. No visuals, just 60 people in a tiny studio, 30 or so Loopz forum members and a lot of tears cos we really did think it was the end
The bleating female crying 'Don't Leave' in the audience is me and the wonderfully overloud and singing very out of tune to Halcyon bloke in the crowd is my Dave
We love you long time!!!
