I saw a hammered girl climbing up a flag pole near the other stage. It did not look like she had any underwear on and was revealing a lot to the people below.
Someone (who I don't think she knew) was taking a few photos of the event but the girl seemed to be having a great time.
It was also near the Growler Stall which made me chuckle <_<

I must admit I cringe when I see people shinning up them, especially when the poles bend, I just have horrible visions of them falling off and hurting themselves badly, or harming someone who unwittingly ends up in the way.

exactly my thoughts-i remember in the pyramid stage field, there were guys hanging from/climbing on the hanging basket wooden frame thing..

whyyyy do it :|

I saw someone climb up a flagpole by the Brothers Bar in 2008 I think.  He got quite high, well up the wooden part of the pole, which started to bend and eventually it snapped.  He landed smack on his back and was lying there surrounded by medics for a good 30 minutes.  He did eventually get up, but I did fear the worst for a while.

Grease on the poles 10' from the floor will stop this problem.
No doubt the H&S/insurance co. will say 'take them down'
shame, cos they do add to the atmosphere and i like them a lot

I'm suprised noone hurt themselves climing up the stars in the pyramid field as i saw about 5 or 6 people on them at one point and they didn't look very stable!

I saw someone hurt themselves on one of them during Faithless on the Sunday. A few guys were climbing up the one to the right of the field, just behind us. A group of us were looking around every once in a while and watching when we noticed one of them had a very long, wide and deep-looking gash on his shin. Funny thing is he didn't seem to have noticed. Then someone below the star pointed it out to him... The look on his face was one of pure shock and horror. Thing is, at this point his pulse must have quickened or something because blood now starts to pour down his shin, along his trainer and starts to drip down below. We were too far away and there were too many people in the way to see if there was anyone directly underneath but if there was then that can't have been plesant for them. The bloke promptly shined down and, hopefully, got some medical attention pretty quick!

Haha shame.  I'd lvoe to have read newspaper articles with quotes along the lines of:

"I only went to Glastonbury for themusic and partying.  I didn't expect to be given a facial mid Gorillaz!"

Theres a t-shirt slogan in there somewhere
