I am not sure if it is usual for T in the Park, but on the main stage they had a front section and then a barrier, and then the rest of the crowd....bit like the golden circle you would get at a big stadium gig.

Juust wondered if this was something that they have each year, or is it something festivals are bringing in? maybe a Health and safety thing!

I have been V last 3 years and they haven't had this setup.....just hope they haven't got it this year!!!!

Its a health and safty thing they have it at glasto and reading and leeds. Stops people getting crushed. If V do have it this year it wont be a problem regarding getting to the front i wouldnt be worried about it.

actually makes it much easier to get to the front, as only "hardcore" fans will go there and a lot will leave immediately after their band, so if theres a band you love you wont have to push forward or stand there all day. Those who just want a social drink and not to watch the music too seriously just wont bother going forwards.

Saying that, it makes the atmosphere behind said barrier generally pretty poor I find, except at headliner time but i guess its like that further back anyway
