Hey im going to be taking a flag to Reading this year just to make it easier to find our camp. But im wondering about flag poles, I don't want to buy an expensive one that will probally be nicked. So what would make a good subsitute? I'm thinking bamboo canes, but I can't figure out how to keep it standing, unless we strap it to the side of our tent with black tape.

Also, how can I prevent the nob heads who will most likley, try and nick it?

I bought a flag last year, I don't remember it being that pricey.
You could buy one, take off the pole from that and use it with yours

try a cheap fishing pole from your local tackle shop. tent poles seem to bend to much. not many ways in preventing it getting nicked tho unless you only have it out when your at your camp.
