There is one band I'd like to see live again, well anywhere really but at Glasto would be the dogs...they are the Floyd.  Saw them at Earls Court for the Division Bell & at Knebworth.

What an event it would be.

I don't think they will ever tour again though.

Any chance?

33% as you might see Gilmour or Waters

100% of pink floyd = 0 :(

I would die if I seen them on that pyramid

It would be epic on that Pyramid.  Come on Dave, one more live appearance then you can take it easy...you know it makes sense.  188,000 revellers can't be wrong!

Ohhhhh didn't even think of Hard Rock Calling...I think hes 100% to do that! just depends on whether glasto do what they have done recently and share one

I heard a rumour it was meant to be gilmour for 2010 hard rock calling but something went wrong? true/false?

its not going to happen. gilmour wouldnt do it now that rick wright is dead. i saw  their final concert in 94 at earls court and that was the end of it.(apart from the one off reunion at live 8,which wasnt a full gig)gilmour was supposedly on for glastonbury a couple of years ago but there wasnt room for him on the bill.thats a possibility.i wouldnt like to see them do anything again without rick.live 8 was the perfect end to the band with waters back with them.

I really don't get all the excitement over Pink Floyd.  I like some of their stuff and obviuosly DSOTM and The Wall are good albums, but I really don't get what other people see that makes them Jizz with excitement.  I know it's down to personal opinion, but what is it that makes them special?  I'm open to You Tube clips.

Youtube clips wont do it. You have to invest time in them (It is worth it, trust me.) Roger is brilliant lyrically, right up there with the best, and the music/words mix is perfect in places, not just on DSOTM. Theres a vibe from the Floyd that is infectious, you wont get into them with an easy listen. Theyre not a pop group - post Syd anyway.

By the way, they (in my opinion) have 3-4 albums better than the Wall, not including DSOTM. Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Meddle, Wish You Were Here and Animals are all superior. I have been listening to Animals again recently. Wow.

Stay clear of More, most of Atom Heart Mother, most of Obscured by Clouds and anything post Roger (after The Final Cut basically. Cant stress this enough). A Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell are arse clenchingly poor.

OK then, two youtube clips.  :P

And this is what eventually became Us and Them. Absolutely beautiful piano. RIP Rick Wright.

Unsure if Gilmour & his ego would make it onto the Pyramid Stage....his nose is possibly still out of place from the 2009 snub

Disagree with the last point here. The Division Bell - whilst not have the lyrical fire of the Waters stuff - captures entirely the sound and feel of classic Floyd. And the songs are underrated - "High Hopes" is right up there. It's far more a "Floyd" record than The Final Cut, which is a Roger solo LP in all but name, and is hardly fun.

Agree with your point on The Wall, however. Half of it is unlistenable - unlike complete works like Animals, Piper, Meddle and Wish You Were Here. But when The Wall is good, it's absolutely magnificent.

Lest we also forget their solo stuff. Amused To Death (Roger, 1992) has superb moments, as does On An Island (Dave, 2006).

As for Glasto - either would be great. An abridged Wall set? But a reunion of Nick, Dave and Roger is way beyond wildest dreams.

Its up there with a Smiths reunion as the most unlikely thing to happen in the world. That and Jimmy Carr becoming anything other than a total c**t.

Hope it never ever happens again. Without Richard Wright, it's pointless.

Roger wont be doing festivals next year from what I've heard, it's just his own solo tour. The production is too large to put on at festival stages.

I can't see David doing shows of that scale immediately either.

And there was a "rumour" he would do HRC 2010 but that was just bullshit someone posted on Wikipedia. According to "his people" there are no live plans at all for 2010.

That was the case with his 2002(?) tour as well, but he still managed to bring a cut-down version to Glasto - so I wouldn't have thought it rules him out with this tour.

bang on.  scarfes animations against a cgi wall backdrop would work very well on the pyramid...i think i also read somewhere that unlike the original production the band would not this time be hidden behind the wall for the first half...apart from the symbolics it kinda makes a physical wall to some degree superfluous if thats the case..

He played Hyde park on the DSOTM tour without a lot of the frills of the indoor shows (inflatables etc).

I wouldn't have thought building a wall across the pyramid stage would be that problematic either if he wanted to!
